<IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"> Ok I went to the track.(famoso race way) well here is the deal. My car is basically stock with nitto drag radials and a k&n with open exaust(behind the cats). I am a pretty good driver wouldnt say perfect but good. Well the best time I could pull off was a pathetic 14.8 sad. The air quality sucked it was like 100 deg. out side not track temp. I could not hook up with the nitto the track sucked blah blah blah. Well has any one else raced there Stock mustang gt at the track? What where their times was it on the west coast or east (temps, tires, exc. please all info.) if any one wants any other info like launch 60s please ask will be happy to provide if you can let me know what happened. Oh yeah its a 2003 with a 5 speed.

Give us details on your time slips.

Once we have those, our expert panel will be able to decide wether your traction totally sucks, or the weather sucks.. or you suck at driving

alright here it goes i powered shifted with out lifting my foot off the gas shifting right before red line about 5800. never shifted into 4th drove out 3rd through the traps at 95mph. best run 14.89 with the hardest launch of tire spinning 3500, with alot of spin in second also. I wont say reacton times because i wasnt going heads up with any one and want woried about them.

i just thought i would add that i was the fastest stock basically mustang out there. there where evos running in the 15,s new corvettes running in the low 14's and a freakin srt-4 running a tire smoking low 14. I am more disapointed that my friends truck a 2001 gmc sport side ran a low 14.3. very impresive for a truck with no traction and a couple things done beating new lightnings, with a little help from nitrous.<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

Might wanna avoid WOT shifts into second if you're spinning and the Nitto's can't hook up. Go for it on third since you didn't say anything about loosing traction there.

What was the humidity by the way? 50% humidity difference and less than 20* cut me 3/10 in my Saturn....

couldnt tell u humidity dont know. but rained last week and still felt like it was high. if u run nitrous are u affected as much by humidity and hot air?

You're affected wether you're huffin boost, sniffin juice, or suckin in the atmosphere.

2.1's or lower are acceptable. I'd say the weather & your traction ruined it.

Wait for some cool weather and I bet your ET will drop to mid 14's, get some traction and I bet you'll go low 14's!

so any tips on the 60ft. or was that all my little car had. i will be going back on the 19th so im going to try launching harder and getting my nittos a little hotter with difernt psi's bellow 20.
