Today was a nice sunny day, so I went for a very enjoyable 100 mile cruise.
I love the way my Saleen sounds ( stock ) and drives. :)
It reminded me of why I bought a Saleen, despite some fit and finish issues.
I stopped at a Chevy dealer, who had several new '06 Corvette Convertibles, for sale. I wasn't even tempted. [sm=signs006.gif]

Now if you were COMPLETELY forthcoming, you would admit you at least peaked when you drove past the bank windows ;)
The Jazzer on looking good in your ride

Nice. A 100-mile cruise sounds really good right now. I too love the exhaust note. It's nothing short of therapeutic for me.
Speaking of which, I just got a call early this morning that my mom passed away after battling cancer for the past several years. After spending some time with my wife and kids, I decided to get in the Saleen and go for a little drive to pick me up and clear my head a bit. It did about a good as job as anything could given the circumstances. Not sure why I'm even posting this here, but I've found myself reading these boards a lot over the past few months and I always enjoy reading the good little moments these cars bring into our lives. So I thought I'd share.
Anyway, since I'm heading back east for a week to take care of family matters, I dropped the car off at my local Saleen dealer (South Bay Ford -- Marissa is a top notch service rep, who is an absolute pleasure to deal with), to get a few minor things addressed, including the front sway bar "clunk" that others have mentioned. I'm sure this will be one of the first web sites I visit upon my return...

Sorry to hear about your lost. Trying to decide what my next car purchase will be. Thinking of doing another extreme or a hennessy viper.

Thanks for sharing on the board, and sorry for your loss.
There are some genuine people on here. That's something you don't find on many enthusiast car sites.

Hey elburrito99 ~ Sorry to hear about your mom. God Bless her. Wer'e all with you buddy. The drive was a great idea. Did the same thing myself. Do it again. She will always be with you. Must have been a great LADY !!! It hurts now but time will heal and you'll be with her again one day. Time will stand still for a while and that's OK. Cry hard. She will be with you everytime you take your Saleen Machine for a spin. Your a good MAN for sharing your grief. Peace be with you always and the wind at your back.
