Posting Jen's private message and the obsceneties was way out of line. You're an a$$.

Dumb luck you didn't hit someone. Next time, maybe you'll hit a telephone pole.

No offense, but +1.

I have absolutely no respect for anyone who drinks and drives. Don't give me crap about being in college and experimenting, because I'm in college. You could of seriously hurt someone else (I frankly could care less for you).

quote:

A male Hispanic was driving a 1986 T-Bird heading east on Dominigoni Parkway. Our daughter driver her 1997 Honda Civic was west-bound. He came across a 38' median and crashed head-on into her. She died at the scene. Our 2 grandchildren were in the rear seat of the car. Our 3 year old grandson received a skull fracture and a laceration of the left side of his face and head, and was in surgery over five hours. Our 6 year old granddaughter received a broken left arm.

In loving memory to my son, Michael, who was fatally injured by a DUI offender while riding his scooter home from one of his favorite stores. I love you little buddy and miss you with all my heart. Love Daddy!!

quote:

John was driving north on 23rd Ave. The driver who caused the crash was driving west on 8th St. She ran her stop sign and hit John's truck. It spun around and rolled on its top. He was partially ejected. He died instantly.

quote:

Shane was my oldest child and was the love of my life and my life will never be the same without him. He always brought comfort and a smile to anyone who needed one. He is loved and terribly missed by his family and friends. Shane had hopes of one day serving in the Marine Corps. While walking to the home of a relative, Shane was hit from behind and sustained a closed head injury that killed him instantly; he never knew what hit him. The impact caused his body to fly over 60 feet before landing in a nearby ditch. The driver had a BAC of .127.

quote:

On a cold January evening, my sister and her two boys, ages 4 and 7, were driving to the local video store when they were hit head-on by a drunk driver, killing them instantly.

quote:

Age: 17
Kelly and her friends were walking across a two lane steet in Hamtramack MI. A drunk driver ran a red light and preceeded through the intersection hitting the group at 50mph. Three of her friends were critically injured, but unforunately Kelly did not survive her injuries. The driver had a BAC of .30 and does not remember hitting the friends.

Should I continue??? From what I read from your other posts, I don't think you deserve this car (or any car over 180 hp).

Just my .02 cents

~Fred

I agree, there is way too much juvenile testosterone displayed in these forums. There are three avatars in this thread alone that I would consider offensive towards women. Where are the moderators? These forums have allowed way to much freedom considering that they are open to everyone including children. Yes sir the fastest way I can see to impress women is to degrade them, get real.

Obviously UCF has bigger problems than two probationary and one banned fraternity.

Hey UCF, considering the horrific crash in Lake County last week that took five young lives, don't you listen to the news and learn from the mistakes of others. Oh I forgot, you are at that age where you are indestructable, immortal, and know just about everything. The bad part about that wreck last week was that four of those boys had no control over that situation. Perhaps if you had to go out and pick up body parts off our highways for a few weekends you might see the light.

Either you get it or you don't. This dude is in college. Party on, get drunk, have unprotected sex, don't be afraid to remove the tag under your mattres while your at it. I know, I did the same things and I'd do it all over again. No matter how hard you try and be safe you will die, and it is always too soon. (I hate political corretctness and people who smile)

Why do we post on forums trying to tell people not to drink and drive? Well i for one do it out of fear. I've had one uncle who was driving drunk and killed a young woman who was waiting for a bus, the cops found him playing poker with his friends completely clueless that something hanging over the side of his truck had hit a girl and almost completely decapitated her. He spent ten years in prison and still didn't learn his lesson. I've got another who was recently killed while driving drunk. He wrapped his car around a telephone pole. I don't feel sorry for him at all. Lastly i happen to live in Orlando and travel out towards the UCF campus on occasion. I don't want to be the unlucky individual you hit while your drunk. Yes it is o.k. to do the crazy college kid thing, get drunk and what not. But I'd prefer you take a knife to your own wrist rather than shoot a 4000lb bullet at innocent people.

Truly Sorry about your car and I hope you are able to get it fixed. Like many of the other guys said, take this incident as a "lessons learned." We all know that drinking is a staple of the average college kids diet, but at least be responsible about it. You are extremely lucky that you didn't hurt yourself or someone else. You definitely don't want a DUI either.

Just as a FYI, people who talk on their cell-phones while driving can be just as dangerous as those who choose to drive drunk because it takes your attention away from where it should be....traffic and the road in front of you. In this case, you were "a little buzzed" and talking on the cell-phone. Consider yourself extremely lucky your situation isn't worse than it is.

By the way, you should have been snuggled up to the girl in your avatar instead...LOL
+1 to that... Im definately gonna find that chick one day. You wouldnt happen to have her tower and dorm number would ya chron? Make it a little easier on meh..?

as to the post involving jen if a friendly girl asked me to change my avatar as politely as her I would as a form of mutual respect as long as the reason wasn't it hurts chevys
I'm 21 and NEVER have or will drink alcohol because I don't want to lose some of myself even for a sec

although I like your avatar I would respect someone that types such a friendly well put message as a request to change something so simple

You are an idiot.

Hell, I'll be honest, I'm 17, Im a big partier, and yeah I'm pretty ****ing trashed 95% of the time, but I'm not even that retarded to drive drunk, even if its just the slighest bit of a "buzz."

Anyways, Good luck with your car and I hope all turns out well for you, but still consider the fact that you could have hit a person and have them go splat on your windshield rather than some damage.

See this would apply if he was the only person that could die. If you find it necessary to get drunk, get in a car and kill yourself, ok, but how about the family you could hit. Or maybe a single mom etc etc etc. THINK ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE, not JUST yourself. The would does NOT revolve around YOU.

Some people need to think about life and how THEIR choices effect OTHER peoples lives, not just their own. Get with it.

yea so, im leaving my freinds house at like 3 am a little buzzed, and i hit a curb going like 30 35. my car dies shortly afterwards and im like omgwtf!!!11 i crash at my freinds place til morning, and then one of my other freinds came and helped me out. at first we thought it might be the battery, but he jumped me and nothing, car refuses to start. then we get some gas and fill it up, still nothing. my only option was to call AAA. i call and they tell me my dad cancled my membership, so i had to renew it for 60 dollars. to truck comes, pick me up (****ed up my exhaust bc its soo low) and we go to campus (UCF) where i have a parking spot in a garge. too bad the truck was a huge flatbed and didnt fit into the garage, so i had to park it in a regular parking lot. plus im going down for thanksgiving to SoFla so its going to stay there till i get back. as we r lowering the car intot he parking lot, the tow guy notices some fluid dripping from my car. take a look under and the whole front end of my car on the bottomm is ****ed up hardcore. the radiator (or whaterver is there) is completely bent, almost broken in 2, and the guy said i probabkly have a cracked radiator.

how ****ed am i? like how much cash is this gonna run me, i was planning on buying rims and tires, guess not ne more, ****ing **** god dammit

Seriously... stick to scooters while at college!

Sorry, but I seriously never ever drove a car when boozed up. Drinking and driving is a serious no no. You can never forgive yourself, ever. Even when just drinking one beer, it could just shave off that one millisecond of reactiontime you need to steer away from harms way.

So don't be calling everyone a hypocrite.

i dont want sympathy, just how to fix my stang. i never said drinking and driving is cool and i really wouldnt do it again bc of what happen in fear of more damage to my car/myself/other people. yea i kno it was stupid, but when its 3am nd u want to go home, u get in ur ar and leave. just so happens i hit a curb while exiting my freinds apatment complex while going under the speed limit. and btw it was a one way street so head on collisions wouldnt have happened, and unless people walk there dogs at 3 in the morning in 35 degeree weather, then i dont think ne one was in danger. still though that doesnt make what i did better and i feel bad and all, but it happens, and ill try to stop or at least go easy on my partying habbits

but i wsnt at a party i was just at my freinds drinking and messing around

now about the pm thing, sorry u guys got all pissy about it but i was with my freind t the time and showed it to him and he ws lke, yea tottaly and i was word son, word. we got a laugh out of it, sorry u guys didnt. i kno she asked nicely and all, and truth is i didnt even answer her bc i knew i would say something similar to my previous post, which would just make her feel worse.

we dont stop in the 407 ZULU NATION

lol seee i kid i kid,lol but now that ive said sorry, this thread will die bc of no more contraversey, unless u guys keep dishin it out, which is fun for me bc it gives me something to do while im at my mom's house for thanksgiving

Stop making excuses. Which is what you are doing. Sorry to tell you but YES people do walk there dogs at 3am maybe they work nights and are on a night time schedule of things. And you did in fact put people in danger including yourself and the sooner you grow up and realize this the better everyone in your area will be. You can make as many excuses as you wish to try and justify what you did, but the bottom line is you drove drunk and could have killed someone. Being slightly buzzed or hammered makes no differance, you were still drunk/impaired. I am certain if you tell your mom that you wrecked your car while drunk she would not be proud of you. Yes i undersatnd that you just wanted to go home but you should have simnply stayed at your friend and slept it off or calleda cab.

Richard

once on Top Gear they reviled a great idea they have over there
in London there is a service that if your drunk you call and they arrive on small bikes and drive you home in your car
that way you don't have to retrieve your car in the morning
the downside is someone else drives your car but it would be better than driving drunk

Enough with the lectures, guys. Everyone has beat this to death. The guy is in college, 20-something years old, indestructible, having a good time boozing it up, has a hot car, and if his avatar is any indication, a hot girlfriend.

He is not going to listen to any of us who are older / wiser / don't drink and drive / don't party hard / have the common sense not to drive when "buzzed" (which, you know is code for "lit up drunk") / have been affected by a drunk driver who was only driving "buzzed" / etc., etc. So, why bother? He clearly doesn't get it, and it seems he insists on learning the hard way.

So... let him. It's a free country.

That being said, we can all sit back and hope / pray that he doesn't take someone else out when he is driving "buzzed."

Fact is, the guy isn't asking for our sympathy, as he said. He is asking how to get his 'Stang back on the road. Hopefully, not so he can drive it "buzzed." Again.

I know how to fix it. Call your insurance company and tell them you were driving a little buzzed and wrecked your car. They should take care of everything.
