Whadya think? local://upfiles/2410/A522096A0A8E42428918DA4F2E82B056.jpg NicksMeanGT 09-23-2004, 12:33 AM looks sweet man. i cant wait to lower mine. i got my fox body springs coming in next week...i cannot wait. Looks B-E-A-UTIFUL. Nick 2001_SaleenS281_08 09-23-2004, 12:34 AM looks good, could use some new rims though!! how much of a drop did you do cldnails 09-23-2004, 12:42 AM Had the springs cut, dropped it about 2-2 1/2 in. Ride quality is pretty rough, but for all I drive it doesn't really bother me....yet. When I get new rims and tires I am probably going to go with Eibach's and new struts, but for now it treats me well. Acer2428 09-23-2004, 01:00 AM Yeah, it looks REALLY lowered... but nice though... yeah, def. new wheels/tires. blueangelfightr 09-23-2004, 10:39 PM Nice man. I think lowering gives a really sporty look. Nice car by the way. Later. Dan04COBRA 09-23-2004, 10:44 PM Wow, I bet you have almost no shock travel in the front... Should invest in some bigger wheels Enjoy your rough ride :D Looks great. mdvaldosta 09-23-2004, 11:11 PM looks slammed dude! 2k1gt 09-23-2004, 11:40 PM Im getting my Fox springs within the next week also. Do any of you guys with lowered cars have any speed bump issues? I have about 20 at my school and I have to be able to go over them to get into the parking lot. Acer2428 09-23-2004, 11:56 PM Come to school on a Sunday morning (like REALLY early) and take some patch ashpalt and make little ramps for your tires....lol 2k1gt 09-24-2004, 10:45 PM Ahahaha, thats a good idea, but they would have to be really long to even do anything. cldnails 09-24-2004, 11:38 PM Old speedbumps that are worn, no problem, moderate new speed bumps: go very very slow and you year only a little front end touch, meaty speedbumps: better find another way to wherever your goin. They had to jack my car up off the lift and side the lift out from under my car just so I could back up, if that says anything. I'll get some better pics tomorrow and post'em. Thanks for the compliments guys! And yes new tires are in the plans. I"m thinking black FR500's with the machined lip. TattooTears 09-25-2004, 12:33 AM That looks VERY nice, makes me wanna run out and buy some new springs ASAP. I can stack my fist on top one another and stick them in my wheel well:( devinsteen 09-25-2004, 05:46 AM Looks good....that's a pretty big drop. Our cars really look much better with a lower stance. cldnails 09-25-2004, 06:03 PM UPdated pics. I went ahead and removed my spoiler again. I think it looks better like this, what do you guys think? devinsteen 09-25-2004, 06:11 PM Put it back on!![sm=smiley26.gif] redshadow02 09-27-2004, 08:41 PM looks great man. thinking of lowering my car too. 2001_SaleenS281_08 09-27-2004, 08:50 PM PUT THE SPOILER BACK ON NOW!!!![:'(], But thats my opinion if you like it, keep it. Scarletspidey 09-28-2004, 02:17 AM i think the car looks great, just a shame that the ride suffers now. as for the spoiler leave it off if you want. i like it without the spoiler. Phirantes 09-28-2004, 04:03 PM Sorry to change the spoiler issue (i like it with it on btw) but can you do a 2" drop by just adding lowering springs and not have to change/buy/install anything else? doesn't the front go outta alignment or tow out or anything of the sort (sorry for the silly question, but i grew up in hickville where the only thing there was to lower was your pickup and these were problems that they ran into) Thanks deesgt 09-28-2004, 04:21 PM If you drop it two inches you're gonna need cast and camber plates to be able to get a good alignment. Also, you prolly would not wanna get lowering springs and keep stock shocks and struts....you'll be bottoming out like crazy[:@][:@][:@] deesgt 09-28-2004, 04:24 PM what brand of springs? And did you change the shocks and struts? Moosetang 09-28-2004, 08:11 PM Caster Camber plates are almost nessary on lowered cars. cldnails 09-28-2004, 08:59 PM Current status: stock everything, just cut stock springs. Yes, I fully intend to replace my whole suspension. C/C plates are sorta necessary, depending on how bad your car keeps chamber now. Most lowering places will just put caster bolts and leave it as is. That typically holds your alignment for over a year, from what I was told. xRockThePonyx 09-29-2004, 12:22 AM Love the drop on the car, that looks tight. But, I think the spoiler's gotta stay on, it just looks reeeeeaaaallly weird without it. |
