He snuck up on me at a set of lights, that just so happens - it's the lights I race from normally.. He looked over and gave me the nod, I dropped it at 2500 and pulled him HARD. Outshifted him hard too... I ran all the way through 2nd and had already pulled 2-3 (maybe even more) by then and I let off. Stock for stock, I know for a fact the 4.6 GTis faster than the 5.0 GT. I owned both a white1992 5.0 GT and a red 2001 4.6 GT, and stock for stock, the 4.6 ran about 2 tenths faster in the 1/8 mile than the 5.0 did, and my 5.0 was a 5-speed and the 4.6 was an automatic! So a stick 4.6 will add another tenth or two. And besides, the 4.6 gets much better gas milage too! <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

i meant that unless a 5.0 is pretty well modded it wont take a 4.6

Not ragging on 5.0's...as I'd love to have a sleeper LX. A lot of people get the notion that since it's a 5.0 and has more cubes..they instantly believe its faster. <IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"></P>

Itell ya something on the 4.6 as I have one in my supercrew..it's not worth a sh!t in a truck....I'd been better off with the 6..... I don't think it's pull my car to low end grunt at all.....where's me a 5.0 to put in it*L*
