Ferrari F430 gets owned, and a new top speed for me.

On my way home from Las Vegas I was getting very bored with the 15FWY and it's dessert scenery. Then I saw something coming up on my arse so fast, I thought about moving into the next lane. But I stayed put and the car went around me. I caught a glimpse of my next victim, a Ferrari F430. What does a Cheetah do when a foolish Gazelle has the balls to walk right in front of it? It eats. So I immideately went from from 5th to 3rd and stoped the Ferrari's pull. Since there was so much open FWY I decided to first get the kill, then play with him a bit. So I pulled up next to the guy and gave him a thumbs up and basically told him show me what you got. So he slows down to 60, I droped down to second and he blew his weird sounding horn three times and were are off! I pull on him hard coming out of second, I he gains some ground on me in third but fourth and fifth were bye-bye gears. By the time I get in fifth hes back 9 cars so I kept going and finally shut down at 197MPH. By that time the Ferrari was a small spec in my rear view. So he comes up and tries to do a fly by and I shut that down as well. I really like the F430 and it is one of the most sexy cars out there but the thing runs out of balls past 130mph.

Awesome kill,F430s are sexy as hell and sound awesome IMO.But am I the only one that finds it pathetic that some asshat in a Ferrari tries to do a ricer flyby?

Geez Mr Rogers, you sound more like Speedy Delivery! On a side note I was reading the latest issue of AutoCar(English mag) and they conducted a high speed test at a test track in Germany. Of course the Veyron 16.4 smoked everything in sight by a very embarrassing margin(at a million bucks, it should) and a 612 Ferrari and a big Lambo fought for 2nd(both cars offering over 600BHP in stock form). The Z06 did well considering the competition, but this is a Ford forum and that mag did test a Ford GT and despite what every American mag says, yes a Z06 is as fast in a drag as a GT, but it got clocked by over 15 seconds in a 0-300km/h test(that's 186mph) by the Ford GT........now I see why the GT is considered a Supercar and the Z06 a sports car.......and yes, the Viper finished last-lol(couldn't even reach 300km/h!). But you do have a Z06 and I don't[&o]

I think anything that does 10 second 1/4 miles should be considered a exotic car. Anything that does 11 second 1/4 miles should be considered a supercar. Anything that does 12 second 1/4 miles should be considered a sports car. Anything that does 13 second 1/4 miles is a fast car. But thats just my opinion.

I love when American muscles kicks the snot out of Italian cars that cost an insane amount of cash. That gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. And yah... I'm jealous over the Z06. I want one. I want one bad.

WOW! That may be the sweetest match-up Ive ever heard of. So basically the fact that you have nearly 200 more ft pounds of torque then the F430 is what put you NINE car lengths ahead of him???

Not sure but it must have helped. I think those things top out around 160 or so because after 130mph he kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller

Not sure but it have helped. Ithink those things top out around 150 or so because after 130mph he kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller

150??? I think they top out somewhere around 190ish.
