Anyone see the design for the 2010 Mustang GT? There is a working concept out right now with an italian flare.

V6 with possible 260-280 HP and the V8 with 350-400hp with a possibly supercharged version as well. Also still not ruling out the 5.4L

looks promising. not too crazy about the taillights though. i kind of wish they would put the mustang letters back on the bumpers. its a small detail but i think it adds to the look of the car.

If that is a prototype 2010 mustang then I kinda like it but would still prefer the new edge (with a supercharger under the hood to keep up of course).

I like it. It's friggin sexy as hell. It's designed between Ford design boss J Mays and an italian designer Fabrizio Giugiaro. It resembles a cross between the Ford Shelby GR1 Concept Car and the new Camaro.

I would hump that car!! I think its sexy as hell.. its even sexier if it really does come with 400Hp.. but knowing ford it will only make 350 or so LOL..

By 2010 my 04 will be 2-3X faster then one of those stock. Look a hell of alot better, weigh less and still after every dollar spent wont touch the sticker price on one of those new. I sure hope they don't go IRS on the Mustang like they did the Camaro though. For what its worth that design does look more clean also less big and doppy compared to the "retro futuristic" '05-07's today. These engines are getting interesting too, can't wait.

It kind of looks like Chevrolets new version of the Crapmaro..I hope Ford scraps that plan QUICK!!

As far as pure looks go, I think it's pretty ok. But, it doesn't look like a stang at all.

The problem is that it is too sleek and european looking. I don't really think that this design follows in the footsteps of the previous stangs in any way.

This car looks more like a slender, stealthy jag than a muscly, hard edged stang. Too feminine for my tastes.

I can almost guarantee you that the mustang won't turn out exactly like that. Every time a new car comes out, there's some "secret" photos that get "leaked" when really it's usually someone photoshopping a picture to make it resemble what could be a new mustang. I'm not saying it won't have a similar body style, but it's not going to look the way it does in the picture.

looks exactly like a 350z from the view. when i think of American Muscle i think of i big edgy looking loud car, not a sleek, rounded line car. i like it, probably just the motor speaking there, but if it comes stock with 350-400hp whats the flippin cobra gonna have? TT putting out 650hp?

I think it's ugly and the doors resemble a z06. But I think we all need to get out of the whole retro era, I mean 20 years from now what will our generation have to show for itself. absolutely nothin. Get creative!

Looks like a mix of new body Eclipse, new body Mustang, and new body Vette. I thinks it's fugly. I hope Ford keeps the power, though. 260 hp for a v6 would be sweet. Even now the 4.0 in v6 Mustangs are pretty quick. Ford needs to step up and put into production higher displacement blocks. 4.6 and 5.4 are too small.

why would Ford want a car to look like the rivaling Camaro? it looks ok.. but resembles the camaro too much..

He wasnt saying that was Ford's intention...he was just stating that in his own personal opinion. I love the fact that chevy is bringing the Camaro back. That just means that Ford is going to be forced to make the Mustang better. For a couple years now, they've had complete control over domestic mid-range sports cars, with no motivation to improve. Now they have a their rival back, so it could get interesting once again.

really if they just flaten the fender wells alittle and change the rear end to a new edge style,.., hell, it look just like

With some minor tweaks though I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Overall I like it, but it is very similar to the Eclipse's and 350Z's, etc.

If it's going to be more compact, doesn't that mean it could be lighter? Therefore, possibly handle a bit better and perform better overall...? That's the direction Ford should go...Without losing V8 power of course...A European touch would make the Stang a much better car overall..and a bit more classy.

i live in detroit and go to the auto show every year and seriously when i saw the new camaro, i laughed it looked like **** close up. Of course this is all based on opinion, its too low, has way to big of rims for the size of the car and looks extremely long. Horrible!

lets get a new mustang that still has the stang look they just keep getting further and further away from it
if i bought one of these it would be only cause i love my stang and the Horsepower is crazy on them

Actually, the S197's are the closest they've come to honoring their heritage imo. Meaning, it looks most like the old 60's mustangs.

2007 Stang is a carryover of the 06. Just a few additions like a couple new color choices and intrior packages etc.

Don't like it. Looks alot like the camaro concept. Ford has led the way so far with the retro look. Lets hope they continue to do so.

I know people have already pointed this out but let me help clarify. That is not a 2010 mustang. It is a modified version of the current mustang by an italian designer.
