Status: offline I recently got a '96 gt and i'm going to put aftermarket rims on it. I don't really know much about cars and parts and all so if i buy new rims for my car i can just keep the same tires on as long as i get the exact same rim/wheel size, right? Sorry if i sound like an idiot but i'm just making sure.

Status: offline You don't have to use the exact same wheel size to fit with your tires. Every tire has a rim width range that works for it. You would have to get the same rim diameter though.
