1980 2.3 to 5.0 swap - 11/17/2006 2:13:47 PM    .jerome   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/17/2006 Status: offline I recently acquired a 83 5.0 carburated motor. The 2.3 i currently have in has a manual transmission, but my 5.0 motor has an auto transmission. I have a 351 block but no tranny for it so i bought this motor for very cheap with its 5speed auto with an overdrive. Has anyone one done a manual to auto conversion. Im not sure about how my passing gear setup will hook up and what all i need to swap out with my pedals, i dont really want a clutch pedal just hanging there. Is it easy to just pull out the auto pedals from another stang thats auto and swap them into mine? Post #: 1
