Hey I was just wondering how Mustangs compare to Grand Prixs (specifically a 2005 stang GT vs a 99 GTP). The GT has clutch and flywheel done to it with a basic intake and the GTP has intake, exhaust, PCM, rockers, etc. that probably puts it at high 13s.....any idea how these would compare? Thanks!

You should smoke him.....

me (2002 auto GT 4.10's x pipe, catback, tb/plenum and tuner stock street tires, best 1/4th 13.68 @101) vs GTP pulley, intake, exhaust (you can hear the SC whine if you listen)

Shouldn't even be a comparison.

If you can drive, the mustang should destrory him from a Digg and a Roll.

Arn't they slower than the SC/SS Cobalts?

How would this even be a race? Note even close unless the GTP has a lot of work dome to it.And yes they are a good bit slower than a Cavabalt SS/SC,stock to stock.

Ive killed a GTP, flat out. We were on 11s floor garage, and raced down. By the time we exited, there was a straight and a half difference, thats more than half a floor. I was driving a 3900 lbs crown vic. Front wheel drive gives you neither traction nor handling, plus hes heavy.

It wont be a race, nagotiate by car lengths just like in pinks.

My friend has 2006 pontiac G6 GTP which is v6 and have 241 hp and 241 tq and i swear, i let him punch and go like a car ahead of me then i punch and i BLOW him away with my stang GT!! we raced 0 to 100mph and i say he was good 15+ cars behind me!

some of those GTP's can run into the mid 13's the one i raced in my vid runs 8.9's in the 1/8th usually

u dont get tickets for doin 170 in a 60 u get ur license taken away and probably a smack on the wristes

You gotta watch those 170mph Preludes,some kind of wierd physics thing,but there so fast for some reason they look like there going slow.

i would love to see a cop gives JUST a ticket to a driver who drives 170MPH on 60mph zone!

Those GTP's (Stock) are slightly faster than my car stock. I believe they run low 15's. Nothing impressive. Now i have heard that with a smaller pulley they can pull some good numbers.

yeah as i said the GTP is modded....here is the list:

-Custom Intake
-Custom PCM Tune
-Full 3" Exhaust
-1.9:1 rockers
-3.25" pulley (as opposed to 3.8" stock)
-Ported exhaust manifold
-Higher geared trans (3.29 as opposed to 2.93)
