some of those GTP's can run into the mid 13's the one i raced in my vid runs 8.9's in the 1/8th usually
Not from the factory.
the guy i know has a smaller SC pulley, exhaust, intake and a chip apparently, his best run that i saw him run was an 8.89 i believe usuallly he runs 8.9-9.0.......point is that with mods they can be quick, but nothing an 05+ GT cant handle

i think he just means gears.. for better acceleration
I'm no expert on automatic transaxles so how does one go about doing this?
gets more power to the wheels....better acceleration, worse gas mileage....it was done when the tranny blew a while back basically stock gearing is 2.93 and with a higher ratio, i.e. 3.29, more power gets to the wheels and adds to the acceleration

No it doesn't put more power to the wheels as in adding horsepower, it just uses the power more efficiently in exchange for gas mileage and RPM's.
Why was this even a question of who would win????? and my friend got a 170 in a 70.....(Bike) he was just flying down interstate cop didnt pull out but at the next toll there were a couple waiting. just a HUGE ticket, not jail.

With the list you provided the GTP your gonna race has done to it, I would say you better watch out. Stock they run high 14's and with that mod list I'm gonna put him in the mid 13's, maybe even alittle faster, 13.3-13.5. Those things can be monsters with a smaller pulley, exhaust, intake, tune, and some cams, 12's arent out of the question with those mods. Might be a nice project car now that I think about it.

mustang by 1 car from a stop and from a roll of about 60kmh....
mustang got lucky a bit though...GP had no traction and didnt double downshift from the roll
Like I mentioned in my previous post, the GT was gonna have his hands full. GTP's are kinda like 03/04 Cobras, they were built for boost. Smaller pulley, exhaust, intake, and tune on GTP's knock the 1/4 time by 1 to 1.5 seconds in some instances, very quick cars.

I'm suprised lots of you thought he was going to "murder" or "smoke" the GTP or some went as far as to say it wasn't even a comparison. Pretty close I thought, and if they raced again, and the GTP had a chance with traction and downshifting, I would say the GTP would win.
