I know, Iknow, NO benchracing. My car is down right now and I am traveling on the public transportation system right now so I have to feed my racing thoughts.
I am rebuilding my tranny and porting and polishing my heads. So far my numbers are 302/382 to the wheels. How is this going to turn out?
- Stage III SRT4 from a dig. As far as I know it is stock so we will say stock for arguement's sake. I am seeing him runninig mid 13s in it because he cant really launch it. Once it gets going though, it moves out in a hurry
- Stage I WRX. I have run him while he was stock w/ only a shifter and we are even while I am NA til 4th. Then I pull on him, no prob. He is now stage I(tune and axleback) and is claiming mid 13s. I think that is slightly inflated though.
These two cars actually ran and the SRT won. The WRX got about 2.5ish cars from the launch and it ended up that the SRT flew by and won by about 2.5ish cars. They were modded as told above. That is what they are doing against each other. What do you think I can do against them w/ my numbers plus hopefully about 25ish hp from the p&p heads and retune. Comments welcome
I would not do this if my car was running, so the "Run them and find out" is no good. SRT may be for money because he has the bloated head from his car. It is def. not slow but not the biggest fish in the pond either. Thanks

If the Jellybean runs mid 13's (probably much faster with the Stage III) then I think you've got him. You're making similar hp then a stock LS1 but loads more torque and with steeper gears.

I think the really inflating the numbers on the WRX.While from what I've heard the '06s are alot quicker,I've driven my buddies stock '04,and it's kinda slow actually IMO,and I don't see a exhaust and tune making that much of a difference. The skittle should be a better race, but from a dig you should have him. From a roll it might not go in your favor.

RE: Speculation until car is running
Little more food for thought. A stage 3 srt-4 is rated for 310hp or 355hp with turbo toys. And they weigh about 400 pounds less than a mustang. If a guy is pulling mid 13's he flat out can't drive! I put down a 12.3 at 115 with slicks and a 12.7 on street tires at 116.5! With a good driver I don't see a WRX having any problems doing 13 something although I'd think high 13's with the stage 1 set-up.

Roll racing isn't real racing. It's just two retards speeding together!
Supposedly a 13.5 has been pulled off bone stock with an 06 WRX. They've definitely got a lot more going for them than the older models.
I've been wondering whats up with that, are the old ones overrated or the new ones under, since there only rated 3hp more than the older ones. Also am I the only one who thinks the new WRX's[and STi's]are kinda fugly in the front.
I also think they're ugly. I'm not sure what it is honestly... it may be that they're underrated from the factory. They do have a 2.5L block now instead of the 2.0, along with a bunch of drivetrain and brake upgrades.
I def. think that the SRT is quick. I just question the driving ability. It only beat the WRX by about 2.5ish cars. That is where I got that estimite. I read that they are good for mid12s stock. I just dont know if this particular driver is capable of it. He spins through third from what I can see. Traction seems to be a BIG problem for him.
As I see it, I will def. outlaunch him, no prob. After that he will spool up and try to pull. I will be spraying then and should be able to hold him off.
Please, correct me if I am wrong though. Thanks.

Yeah, adding a half liter of displacement should be good for alot more than 3hp.Maybe they underrate them too make the STi look better, because the gap between the two seems like it's alot closer than it was.
