I think he was mostly referring to the sn95's and new edges
My new edge is weak as hell!!!!!!!!! So are the Mach1s,and we won't even mention those '03-'04 slowbras The sn95 GT are sad though,Zero 16 your car is good for about 180whp stock.
I didn't want to believe it for the longest time either but it is true. They are sad. That's why I got a 97 Cobra. :D 180rwhp..pft now we workin' with 270rwhp!

Yeah,my first Mustang was a '98 GT,and comparred to my first car,a '88 V6 T bird with 200k mi on it,it felt pretty fast, but that feeling didn't last very long and I traded it for a '00 GT,which in turn got traded in for the Cobra.Although with it's power limitations, being my first 'stang,I still have fond memories of that car.

Next, while yes, the SN95s are dogs, they can be modded fairly nicely. I do question about the 5th gear pull. That gear is really bad for racing. THe Tibbies are ridiculously slow though. ( I dont say the CRXs are slow because the only one that I raced was a turbo one that sprayed and it walked me hahahaha)

oh, and you'll need full boltons to get to past that 200RWHP mark.
Nanaki, I dynoed 209 RWHP on a 100 degree day w/ only the mods in my sig. THis was a N/A pull too. If I am not mistaken, New edges do about 235ish to the wheels. I would submit that a well driven SN95 can definitely make up for the 25ish hp deficit. A New edge Vert or whatever is game. I have actually proven so on multiple occasions. Yes, the hp is an advantage but w/ some mods(gears helped me out a lot), they are back in the game.
P.S. No, I dont want to run your blown GT hahahahaha I know my place on the food chain.

This type of thread makes me sad. I'm an old fart, I remember when when Mustangs used to be concerned with Vettes and Chargers, and Z28s, muscle baby muscle. A tiburon and a civic.
This thread amuses me. Labeling an asian car a "Ricer" just because of it's origin and then bragging about you beating them when you yourself only have around 250hp is pretty funny. Ontop of that it was a CRX and a Tiburon. LoL kinda makes you wonder what's the proper label to give the 90% of the OTHER Asian cars out there that are faster than you. Sorry for the rant, I just don't understand why so little respect & discrimination for other cars just because they are made in a different country and have smaller(most of the time) powerplants. In the end they all work the same way and share the same purpose. Why can't we all learn to appreciate other peoples rides?

I don't see any holes. The difficult thing here is that Zero 16x really isn't sure about the mods done to his car...
Maybe I'm cinicle about stuff on the internet. :o He's not sure about the mods on the car, there aren't really any details about the cars he's raced, claims the HP is upwards of 250rwhp, but then has never dyno'd it or is just going by what the dealership told him. To be honest, I find most dealerships don't know squat about cars, especially when it's a Chev dealership selling a Ford. But that's just my opinion.
At 17 though, I think he needs a little more experience driving before he starts racing cars and before he wraps himself around a lamp post. I don't think V8s should be sold to people so young... I'm 31 and I have to fight the urge to drop the clutch and just drive mine like nothing else. :o

Ricers are labeled b/c of how the car looks, not where it's made. There is a considerable majority of Civics, Acuras, etc which have large wings, fartcan exhausts are are all looks and no go. Those are ricers.
IMO, large erector set wings on FWD cars are useless.

true.. the more correct term for us would be RiceBurner aka an asian marketed car lol.. "Ricer" is an homo with a stock 93 dodge shadow with a body kit & 3ft aluminum wing thinking its fast **** lol

I totally agree with the term being used in that sense. But it's being overused and it's losing it's true meaning when I see people calling just ANY Japanese car a Ricer. It's just stupid. I will disagree with you on the wing subject. Being RWD, AWD, or FWD doesn't have anything to do with wether you need downforce or not.

The point of those wings was to give downforce to the rear tires so they don't spin. There's no purpose on a FWD car except to make it look ricey.

I really don't think 90% is quite right, sorry but even a NPI GT will out run way more than 10% of jap cars stock for stock. Now as far as appreciating other peoples cars, take Civic4doorsleepers car.I don't care for Hondas, but I can appreciate and respect his car because it's fast as hell and looks very plain,a very good thing IMO.Now take another Civic with a fart can, huge carbon fiber wing, neons, vinyls and stickers everywhere, huge 5in tach,400lb of audio crap and tv's,a 16-17second 1/4 mile time, and a owner with his hat cocked, sideways talking sh_t,and you will get absolutly no respect or appreciation from me,sorry nothing there for me too appreciate, and around here, the assclowns are the majority. However sh_t is sh_t and it doesn't matter what the car is,I've seen plenty of 'stang rice too.
