I've been reading a lot on this forum. Found lots of great info!!
I bought my 04 back in January and am loving it! Thei first car I ever fell in love with was my Aunt's yellow 65 when I was just a kid, so the first car I bought in High School was exactly like hers...only mine had glass paks..lots of noise!! Then I had a 1980 for a while in the 90's.
I haven't done any preformance mods yet, but the more I read the more ideas I get!! Right now I've just done some appearance stuff to make her mine!!
Won't get too much faster, but I plan to install a GT Cat Back exhaust with H pipe, a CAI replace the UD pulley and put on lowering springs....should help a little from what I've been reading.
Right on!!! I too am from Texas and just bought my first 2004 Mustang GT 4.6 in January of this year! Girl let me tell you how much fun I am having!!! My last truck was a V6 and I am making up for lost time for sure!! lol Some mods already include Flowmaster dual-chamber mufflers with tips running out the back under the bumper; Sub Frame Connectors out of a Cobra; K&N Cold Air Induction; and just recently a B&M Short Throw Shifter with a Cobra aluminum ball shifter knob. I also purchased 17" Weld Tork Thrust Wheels. This car was most definitely worth the long, long wait!!!!!!!!! Have much fun with that rod and keep us posted on the mods!!
Thank ya!!! Well, I have to tell ya, when I was looking at the Mustangs I really thought about the V6 (thinking about the ole budget ya know) and my husband really, really pushed to spend the extra money for the 4.6. When I found out there was not much difference in the cost of insurance, I went for it. Im really glad I did. But, I have to say the mods that can be done to the V6 are pretty tight. There are a couple of V6 stangs around my town that run pretty good and sound good too!!!
Im from Weatherford Texas, just west of Dallas/Fort Worth. I know where Round Rock is; I lived in that part of Texas, close to Fort Hood, for 10 years (Copperas Cove).
