Ok... since you asked for it... I bought my 03 vert with 8k miles for 16k out the door... the dealers value on my stock GT right now is 21k... which about what I have put in to it... Also you bought your saleen used --- the car still lost the value, just you didnt - doesnt "prove" anything other than you cant realize that somebody lost his a$$ on that car...

as for building a replicar .. it does only cost about 50-75% as much to - but you car will perform better... I know becuase I have personally conveted 3 mustangs - a honda - and an eclipse.... The numbers are easy to run, but Im not going to argue with simple math, so this is the last time i will expalin it to you -
03 GT vert - came with polished 17" and mach 1000 & leather- 16k
roush kit complete - 650 - paint 400
light bar 250
rim trade up - 200
4.10 and headers - 1000
roush gauges (lunar) - 200
CAI - pullies - 100
diablo - 200
no cats - free
side exhaust (custom) 120
HIDS - 200
race seats - trade
so there you go professor - a total of 19720 .. the stock value is above that - and I just got an offer last week for 26,500
- in addition I have a pristine low mileage - better performing - better looking ROUSH stage 2 vert (soon to be stage 3)
for less than HALF the cost easily - example - sticker on stage 3 at dale jarett ford new - 61,500 - my projected cost once FI - 4500

= 24,220 - and thats 400 rwhp with a 4.10 that will destroy a stock stage 3
and I can do a saleen just about the same price - the body parts cost me 1000 more to a saleen - but that includes an extreme hood , however the saleen sticker is 65000- not to mention that is before taxes on both cars...
You dont have to be an econmist to realize that when you pay middle men to do work for you that your going to pay a higher price.

but for the love of GOD just drop it!

You don't even have a complete clone or anything roush but the body kit and guages! I was trying to be nice but that is just a retarded argument. I got news for you somebody lost there a$$ on your car too genius. Thanks for the laughs dude. You didn't build a roush, you built a shade tree mechanic mustang with used parts. I'm not dogging you for doing it, but what the hell was the point of your arguement. I can't beleave i wasted my time. I won't even comment on the rest of your list and the costs of some of them. I should have listen to everyone and stopped posting put finding out all this was SO worth it. God i can't stop laughing. I just want to meet the idiot thats going to give you 26k for your car without the supercharger. I can now leave this thread alone. Damn thats funny. what exactly do you think is on a stage 2? .. and i forgot to mention my springs and LCA's....

again you are oblivous to the fact that my car out performs "real roush stage 2's" and will beat "stage 3's & your saleen" when I get my blower on...

body kit and gauges - and suspension and gear and full bolt ons ( more than the stage 2 had with its shorties) - you obviously cant read your cars sticker and see the mods that are on it...

I live 15 mins from Rockingham dragway and have been racing mustangs there for 14 years. I've built 7 mustangs since i was 17 from 13-10 sec cars. Don't try to compete with me your not even on the same planet.
