I have the body kit and extra parts from saleen in my car. Its not a full clone , and it will never be. I like clones (the good ones) but I dont have anything that says saleen on it, besides his signature. the reason why I dont put any emblems, numbers, stickers or something that will say saleen on it is simply cause its not a saleen. I respect everyones decisions but making a gt, v6 or any other mustang that is not a saleen into a completely identical saleen, I dont appreciate as much as I will know is a clone because the people that owns saleens had to pay more money, wait the time cause they order theirs before they come out, etc. then they deserve to get all the credit of owing a saleen, not the fakers. and like the logo says "The Power Only In The Hands Of Few" If someday I will have the financial sources of owning a saleen then I will. I probably i wouldnt like to see a clone of my car that gets the same credit as mine. thats just my .02

Who said anything about my car being a daily driver I will guarantee you I'll get more for my REAL S281 (heck, even my '85 Vert for that matter) in 20 years than your car with its 20x pride. Whether or not people choose to buy cars as daily drivers, modifiers, or collectibles is none of ANYBODY's business accept the owners. So why are you trolling in a thread that was started by somebody asking for a simple answer from other Saleen owners.
What I don't get about you is I've read several of your posts in several other sections and they all seem to be pretty respectful. So what the f**k do you have against Saleen owners and this section I say shut the f**k up, and get the f**k out

You were the ones flaming on the guy about putting a sticker on his car... btw your saleens and our roushes arnt "one of a kind" - they are one of thousands with a different "sticker" on them. All I am saying is that if the guy wants to put 69 in his car, then PUT 69... I just dont think you should ragg on people for making replicars when its the factory that sold them the parts.. if you have a problem with kits... piss on saleen, not on this guy. (we is all DIY'ers like myslef)

Well then, before we start to hate each other before we even know each other I suggust you go back and re-read his question and all the responses. NOBODY flamed him or bashed him. In fact, after giving him our opionions and realizing he still wanted a number we then told him how to go about it correctly from a clone standpoint.
So I vote we consider this , agree to disagree or whatever, and just all get along and enjoy our MUSTANGS (whatever the variety)

I was just trying to clear the air with him. I'd rather see him post in here with some sense (like in the other sections) rather than as a "troll" or negatively as most of the posts in here. Its just so much more productive Isn't that an oximoron.....forums.....work.....productive
Sorry I jumped your case in that earlier post Bran...I was just in a bad mood at work and your post rubbed me the wrong way. Though I stand by my point that it seems the only posts you make that draw this sort of attention are in here - regardless I'm ready to forget it and move forward.
what a tool. i'm sure some idiot in the 1960's and 70's said the same crap about a shelby. "gee a shelby is just a fastback with a bodykit and suspension". enough said. As for the original poster what purpose does the # serve if its not a saleen and your not trying to fool someone into thinking it is one. I'm not being a dick i'm just curious. I took my serial # off the bumper because i just didn't like it. Do you just like the look of the #? Just a general thought here but most mustang owners are not going to fooled by a clone and certainly not saleen owners. There are just too many other ways besides the # on the bumper to tell a fake. So that being said i would feel kinda stupid being called out by my fellow stangers. Again i'm not trying to be a dick just some food for thought.

hmm.....I think I would tend to disagree with you on this..............there are some saleen's that are one of a kind, not just because of a different "sticker".

ill put my .02 in here. i dont own a saleen but i have the body kit but maybe ill be lucky enough to buy one some day. but for the time being as of #, my friend and me put a zero in front of out number, and the number is of how many years we have had our car. like 04 for me. and we change it every year. like im gettin ready to get to 05. its number yes it looks like your tryin to froud another vehicle just remember your not faking if ur number has a totaly diffrent meaning.
i didnt mean to make it sound ok to do it, but if someone asks u be honest about it. everytime, remember ppl r more impressed about honesty then money and looks "well most ppl"
