ShadowDrake -> RE: tire pressure ? (11/10/2006 12:33:27 AM)

Uh I've got a 265/35-18 tire up front, 295/35-18 tire out back (18x9 and 18x10 wheels respectively)... For the longest while I was running 28 psi all around... gave great grip but the center of my tread blocks always looked darker than the ones right next to it meaning it probably wasn't riding the ground as it should have been... I bumped it up to 35 psi in front, 38 in rear and noticed the difference, road noise decreased by a LOT and it requires less throttle to maintain cruising speed... bumps actually feel less noticable, but it depends on the bump of course. Max pressures are 48/52 I think so I'm still a long ways from the max, but I'm just wondering what pressure we should actually use. No, I'm not going to follow the manual on this one because it's not the same tire, and it's not the same size.
