regular headers are "unequal" lenght. this means the tubes going to the collectors are not all the same length. equal length have the same length tube to the collectors. supposedly equal length headers improve scavenging. its better because all the exhaust gasses hit the collector at the same time, instead of having different gasses moving through different lenght tubes and "running into" eachother.
Click the pics and see the difference. the equals tubes are all the same length. the unequal ones arent. the equals are saposed togive you a lil more power but not much.. also are harder to instal.
the shorter the glasspack the louder... and..also.. dont use them.. they SUCK. just buy some cheap turbo mufflers from autozone if you want to get out of it cheap.

oh aight...scratch that idea on the cherry bomb...what do you think about just a bullet muffler
and is there any differance in performance between the headers..like which one should i get
long tube headers are supposed to give a slight advantage in torque production, but i havn't personally verified that. maybe someone else can give insight on that.
you can put them on anything you want, but larger torque motors benefit more. if your building a drag car, go long tube. if you want a street car to show off, get shortys.
