Default what's the deal with Nascar "chevys"???

why do the gm's in nascar seem to lean twards ford design??? it would seem that they would want to keep their design very similar to a sbc....

if you dont know what im talking about i mean the sbc has a rear distributer and siamese center exhaust ports(and small mopar)...i hear that a few years ago the nascar gm has exhaust ports the same as a ford or big block chevy..but next year i hear that the nascar sbc will also have a distributer in the front??? whats the deal dudes?

As far as I'm concerned all the nascars look the same. Which attributes even more to it's boredom factor.

I know it's kind of an a$$hole comment but just in case ya didnt know. NASCAR stands for National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing. So saying Nascars wouldnt make much sence. Im a little worried about the ford in NASCAR, they have like maybe 7 in the field mostly Roush/Yates Racing and 1 from Robby Gordon whos changing to chevy. We all know Robbys poor so the ford/chevy deal cant be that far apart. It's also useless to look at the cars now bc they are going to the COT halfway through next year...... Just a little addition from someone who needs posts and a pissed off Dale Jarrett fan (Hes going to a Toyota)

I apologize for calling them nascars. Instead I will call them overweight foul handling pieces of ****.

Hey, be nice, it really stands for National Association to Support Chevrolet Auto Racing.

I don't know how people can watch NASCAR. After the second lap i want to change the channel. The only thing stock about them is there brand symbol.

I could never get into watching oval racing (indy cars included) and it does not help that they all look the same. The only oval racing I like are Outlaws. The best racing out there is WRC (rally), pikes peak, figure 8, etc. Its not just the car but the driver.

Back to the original topic......

Timing is the reason, with the Distributor in the back it waits on the cam to turn it.
When it's up front you have less impact on total timing.

Also... alot of the new "RO7" engines will have the fuel system run off the back of the cam using a cable driven fuel pump
in the "trunk".
