HOW-TO: Throttle Body By-Pass

sorry guys im getting way too many pms for the 05 TB heater bypass

before you do this mod make sure that you let then engine cool all the way
i reccoment 3 hours with the hood up in your garage or 3 hours outside inthe cold
make sure that you take off the coolent resovor cap as well i think this will relieve some of the pressure
turst me on this one i went to do this mod with the engine still semi warm and it burned a little!!!![:-]

it says you can just cut the lines soooo can you really just cut out the lines or no

no you cant just cut them because that leaves two open spots in the coolent tubes
this could cause in all the coolent comming out and your engine overheating
i would say that you should def just follow the instructions
take off the TB
remove all the lines and connect the two smaller tubes sticking out of the coolent lines with the shorter hose

it really easy to do trust me i did it in 15 min drunk off my ass
i would say for the first 2 days you should watch your engine heat and pereodically check the lines for leaks

question... im assuming we wont have 2 worry about the throttle body over heating like it was put in 2 prevent? lol

and does this help w/ horse power or anything? i mean... i plan on trying it regardless cause it will give me something 2 do, lol but would be nice if we get something out if it... lol

no no noooooo
the TB is heated which is soposed to help it not get frozen!!!
untill someone realized that it will freez at about 30 below
it runs about 190 degrees with the coolent running through it
and about 90 degrees with it bypassed

and for the other qutetion umm there is no documented evidence that i helps hp
butt i have noticed that the car never seams to loose that just turned on response
you know when you turn the car on and its not warm and you hit the gass it just feels stronger
then once its at full heat is kinda bogged down
that feeling never comes

well i dont go home until the 22 and i dunno if i feel like putting all the parts back together and then taking then appart again
