I've got a 2000 V6 Coupe. Specs say that they run 5"x7" speakers, both front and back. When I'm looking up speakers around websites, I'm getting alot of 5"x7", as well as 5-1/4". Is there a difference? Will they fit? And what does 2-way/coaxial mean, when compared to whatever? As well, are bassblocks worth it? I'm thinking about removing the rear speakers, and just having a very nice set w/ tweeters and bass blocks upfront. Will I notice the difference with a pair of 12"s in the back? Also, difference between polypropylene and cotton fiber?

one is an oval speaker, one is round. You can fit a round 5.25 or 6.5" with a baffle in a oval 5 x 7".

You will notice a big difference if you just have tweets in the front and no speakers in the back deck. Now with the 5x7's they are also known as 6x8's and infinity kappa's sound great and arent priced to bad. I would definitely recommend them or you could try going with Sony Xplodes they dont sound as great as the kappas but they have a lower price tag. I have a full sony xplode system headunit, tweeters x4(f&r), 4x6 front, 6x9 in rear with 2 12" subs in trunk and 760 watt for highs and mids, 1200 sub amp. I picked up everything for about $1700. and installed every thing myself. Took me about 4 days with running all new wires. My sunfire rocks. Now I need to put in dynomat to keep the vibration noises down. I can put my cell on the roof and watch it dance down the back or front of the car with it a half way of volume and sub amp is sitting at about 1/4 gain. I cant turn the gain up until I get dynomat or I will rattle to car apart.
