i feel kinda like a traitor, because i drive a 2000 silver v6, but i took my dads zo6 out for a spin today. its not modded to hell, but it has damn near 400 hp to start with without a turbo or supercharger. it has an intake, and various other cheap but effective mods. i pulled up to a red light, and this red cobra pulls up next to me revving the hell out of his engine. i look over ready to curse the asshole out for giving a good car a bad name, and i saw it was kid. im young also, but i dont go starting races with other expensive cars when i excersize my right to grand theft auto! i figured, hes probably out cruisn in his pops' car also, so who am i to judge, and at the light we took off. it was the most amazing race ive ever seen much less been a part of. it was dead even for a while, but i could tell that that car was driving him, and not the other way around. at least i know how to handle six gears.

by the way, the zo6 is a 2002, red with 20 inch chromes, and i think its around 430 or 440 hp after all mods are said and done. and i got nailed for jacking it just a few hours ago, but it was worth it to get chewed out.

believe it or not...not every street race gets in a huge wreck with a minivan and kills 7 passengers and the driver of a car racing like jeep seems to make you think zc
ok jug, what are the odds of hitting a minivan with 7 kids in it when your on a track?
Innocent lives die at the track too. Just recently a little girl was squashed between her fathers Mustang drag car and their minivan when it jumped out of gear.

ok, well, this post kinda went to s**t. the point wasnt to brag about the car, it was to brag about the race, and by the way, he saved a lot of money on the car cus he got it right after sept 11th when they were doing 0% financing on every car, so he financed the whole thing. that saved alot. by the way, its a 2001, not 2002 like i said in my other post. and id like to mention that i didnt steal it and go looking for a race. that guy pulled up to me and revved his engine, it was self defense. lol.

yea, id say having a kitchen thats operational ranks higher up htere than a sports car, at least to a homemaker. by the way, if the compromise was a zo6 for the kitchen, 50 grand buys alotta badass appliances, trust me, i sell them for a living. lol.

That sounds pretty accurate. Stock for stock, a Z06 edges out a stock 03 Cobra. On the other hand, good luck finding a stock 03 Cobra. Get a pullied 03 Cobra up against even a modded Z06 and it's bye bye Z06.
Your estimated hp numbers for the Z06 is unlikely although could be close. I dont doubt that your dads Z06 is modded. It's just that Z06's require serious mods to up the hp numbers like that. It's not as easy as the Cobra. I dont have a Z06 but I talk to a lot of Z06 owners that say this. You would need heads, cam, and other extensive/expensive mods to get even close to the hp gains on an 03 Cobra. The Z06 has 405 hp at the crank. An additional 35 hp is not as simple as bolting on exhaust, intake, and headers. Remember, the Z06 already has a (nearly) maxed out motor at 405 hp. Even if it is 440 hp, which I dont doubt now that i think about it, that's only 345 to the wheels assuming a 15% drivetrain loss. The Z06 wins simply by weight to HP ratio. I've raced a few Z06's and killed them all but I believe they were stock or near stock. Keep in mind that I'm at 460 rwhp so it's not really a fair comparo.
