Thanks Nitehawk,

Actually, I just picked the car up from the midwest city dealership. I bought it when we got to the Tulsa Joe Cooper dealership. Both stores are great!

My US-friends, I hope you are not angry if a PJ car has an affair in Switzerland !
Because I have ordered one PJ by Ron Ward's Campbell Ford.
The car is now in production.
So, Parnelli Jones comes to Switzerland.

I think, I will be the only owner of a PJ in Switzerland.

Congratulations, I am sure the PJ owners won't mind, it will be one less they will see on the street.

Thanks Tim1200

It will be a long way, until the PJ-car is at my Home area.
Now, when i can see the "beautiful pics from Chuck's PJ", the waiting becomes more and more intolerable.

OK thanks Chuck,

Now I wont something to know about the "Vehicle Emission Control Information" or "Important Vehicle Information".
You know, this is a sticker in the engineroom of your PJ.

Is this possible that you can send a high-resolution picture of this sticker for me ?

Beforehand, many thanks.

Production Delay for the Parnelli Jones Limited Edition ~ All who are waiting for their Parnelli Jones Limited Edition will have to wait a little longer. Saleen is backed-up with new car orders BIG TIME ! The PJ has thrown a wrench into the regular Saleeen Production Time Line and it is taking longer to make a PJ LTD. than previously thought. Looks like number 90 will be built some time late this week. Seems Saleen is able to build 7 per day rather thatn the 14 per day as originally projected. Reasons include the Parnelli Jones himself making sure that the quality of the Fit and Finnish are second to none. So the wait is going to be a little bit longer for the lucky few, but well worth it !!! For those of you who have your PJ ENJOY the heck out of it before the real winter weather hits. There was snow in the mountains around Palm Springs on Sunday.

Cool,

Just changed to synthetic Mobil 1 at the 500 mile mark, and the PJ is running strong! No fit and finish issues so far. All panels are on strong and the build quality is impressive. Had it up on a stand today while changing the oil and the underside is as pretty as the top!

I get alot of questions on this thing, and there is a whole lot of interest in this car. Few seem to know who Parnelli is, so if they have time I find myself giving the recount of the 1970s trans-am Boss 302 story... I need to find a quicker way of telling people about the car. hehehe

The major impression I get while driving the PJ is people 'get it'. They have this visceral response that seems inherent in the American culture towards Mustangs, american muscle cars, mom, dad, and apple pie. This thing taps into that dynamic like no other vehicle I've experienced... and you don't just drive a Saleen, you experience it.

Cheers,

Chuck

Hey Chuck ~ Sounds like your having a ball with the PJ.

What made you decide to go to Mobil 1 ? I hear good and bad about these oils.

Love hearing about the response to the PJ from people on the street. I had a Candy Apple Red 1955 T-Bird Show Car when American Graffiti came out. I had a lot of fun with that baby. Dec. 29th is my new projected delivery date. Can't wait as the snow is all gone.

Wow, did you skip your medication today? Or are the planets mis-aligned?

Chill. He was sharing a picture and making a tongue in cheek comment about how many PJ cars Ron Ward has for sale.

It's ok guy's. He's just so excited about getting his car he can't think straight. We have all been there. Everyone here knows it takes more than that to get me into a pissing match. Hilarious actually since he has no idea who I am.

Kenardo. Just thought you should know that the man whom which your new car is honoring is actually a very down to earth individual, of course an extrordinary driver, and family man. His entire family is. Let me know when you get your car and if you want anything special autographed I can drive over and have it done for you.

I agree.

Seeing all 5 of them lined up at Ron's is a sight we will probably never see again. I have seen 4 SSC's all lined up at a car show years ago and they only made 160 of those so maybe we could get lucky but I'm sure for the most part collectors will scoop them up and hide them away. A shame really since they should be driven like Chuck plans to do with his.

The only thing I wish Saleen keep was the ride height from the prototype car. It rides a bit on the rough side compared to the production cars you guys have purchased but I think it looks really good.

Say - Is that just a spring swap to get it to prepro height?  I'm thinking of doing it, rough ride or not.

More info on the preproduction numbers (springs, etc..) would be helpful if you have an inside line.

Thanks,

Chuck
