Well, as some of you may know, my car isnt running at the moment. I am steadily saving away for the work that I have to do. I am riding the Rabbit Transit(local bus) to work and riding a sweet ass 26" Mongoose mountain bike to classes. On Wed.(yesterday) I go to class from 8am- 1030pm. I end up making six trips over to campus to go to class. Well, on my final trip over there, it is aobut 745pm. I live on one end of town and I have to go through some well....rough parts of town to get to campus. I am riding down the road and from out of a breezeway comes a fairly big dog. At first I have no problem although I dont mess w/ dogs. Then I realize that he doesnt have a leash or rope. He is free. Immediately, he charges toward my bike. "Here we go" I think.

I immediately, drop a gear and take off. The dogstays right w/ me for about four seconds. By that time, I 'shift' and start to gain even more speed. The dog is falling farther and farther behind. By the end of the block I am flying and the dog is just a speck when i turn around. Owned!!!! hahahahha I know it isnt that good but this is the best I can do w/o my stang to get some real kills....Later...

lol nice story.

I didn't know you could shift gears on the fly with those. Can that damage anything?

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.

It s a 21 speed bike, no problem shifting gears.

Breyton- Idk, I have a crazy power to weight ratio. He has the rotational mass of FOUR legs to move.

BTW- I have a 1996 26" Mongoos mountain bike w/ Walmart tires. SO far, I have just a slightly out of tune bike. This dog is going around talking Sh* about my bike. He is stock but might have those little booties that hunters use for their retrievers. He also has no collar or Stage II weight reduction....Can I beat him???

Slap on a SC and get it dyno tuned. You may want to get exhaust done along with some 4.10s. Upgrade your tire to a Walmart drag radial... you should win hands down.

Careful man, the next time you race that dog he might have a few NOS stickers and a wing, then you'll be in trouble!!
