Can a broken rim be repaired??

I have a factory aluminum 6 spoke rim that has about a 3 inch long section of the lip broken off from a wreck. Is it possible to have it fixednand if so what might it cost? I would like to make it a full size spare.

Yeah there are some companies that can repair that, the finish WILL be destroyed though. Theres a company in Plymouth michigan called weldcraft that reapirs em, something like $75+ a rim.
