We are looking for a 87-93, we really would like to get a GT and 5 speed, color doesnt really matter We live in the Holiday area of Flroida on the West Coast by Tampa Bay. Welcome aboard. There is a section here on the forum dedicated to peeps who buy/sell Mustangs. I don't know if you have the comnnections, but there is a huge auto auction in Orlando, but I don't know what the name of it is. I live in Missouri and there are a few dealerships who purchase cars and trucks from there.

Ok welp this is what I have found, its a 91 GT with some mods $5400 but I got him down to $5000 even out the door, I checked it out today and all seems to be well, the AC and everything else works, I also check the crunch zones ( I think thats what there called!!!!) and eveything looks good as well as no rust. Here is what the place wrote about it. """" 1991 Mustang GT. This car has alot of work done to it- GT 40 Intake with BBK short headers,BBK fuel pump, MSD ignition, short throw shifter and very clean interior, ice cold A/C, power windows and locks, CD player. Chrome Pony wheels and good tires.""""It also sounds like it has a mild cam in it maybe a b 303 cam. I put the car in gear and tested all the gears and they went in and out the gears great. the cluch grabs just right, I did NOT take it for a test drive as of yet but will do that once I decide, I was woundering some opinions of you guys to see what you think.

Heres some pics of it........THANKS to everyone for the warm welcome, hopefully I can put some of these pissed off bumble bee cars to shame!!!! These kids that live around me have the imports and the cars sound like there farting down the road!!! I dont know how anyone could like those noises!!!! eekkkk to me....sorry if there any import lovers out there, its just my opinion!!!! LOL

I like it! I think it looks like a good deal. I know I looked for a long time and even drove 5 hours to look at the black 92 gt in Orlando that is on autotrader and it was a peice of crap so dont even waste your time looking at that one if you run across it. u aint gonna find anything that is in that good of shape for tha tprice in my opinion and you gonna have to work on small stuff , lets face it these cars are 16 + yrs old now

The car looks great considering its age. I'd treat it like any other car by researching the repair history and all. If it was taken care of there should be a good paper trail of maintenance records. I'd still try and talk him down a little more on the price. Trade in value is pretty low and I think he's looking to make $2500-$3000 profit on the car.

Ok test drove it today and I have to say Im pretty impressed. went in and out of gears great.
Checked the VIN numbers on all the tags and they all matched
Checked to see if the seat was welded to the floor and it wasent
Checked the radiator supports and there all streight as can be
Got the guy to lower the price for me
I checked the car over for at least an hour and everything looks great as can be for the age of the car.
Checked all electrical things ie. windows, door locks, windshield wipers and all that and everything works , including the heat an AC!!!
Checked brake line for leaks and there dry
Knocked on all the panels looking for any bondo and everything checked out great
Checked all the lines on the car and all the lines are streight
So far to me it seems good.

Did I miss checking anything??

Yeah its a cool car, in the pic someone noticed that the hood and fenders looked to be a different shade of gray , but when I was there today I could tell at all, kinda weird but the camera made it stick out like crazy, But I checked all the points of where an impact would have affected things and I didnt noticed a darn thing!! So maybe the dood was telling the truth about it just chipping and some knicks in the hood and he just had them painted I have no clue, but to me everything checks out OK!!!

OK got the car home the other day. I drove it for alittle yesterday and a took her for a good drive today, I LOVE IT!!!! The car gets up and goes, pretty quick for the mods that have been done, Im planning on adding ported heads and a Votech blower. Im also going to upgrade the fuel injectors and fuel delievery system at the same time as the blower and heads of course. A friend of mine of many many years that has been working on Mustangs since....well forever just about, he is going to go over her with a fine tooth comb and tell me what has been done to her from what he can visually see, were also going to give her a tune up and do a compression test, this thing is bone dry underneath which I am VERY happy for, all the others Ive looked at leaked something from here to there!!!! Im also planning on getting a Saleen wing and a cowl hood, and prob when I get those things going to get her a fresh paint job (same colors). Also going to prob sell off these rims and tires and get some Weld Draglights and some good street tires , thats about all I really plan on doing to the ext. So far so good with her, the wife and I are very happy. And we also have a 6 year old boy who will be INCLUDED in most of these upgrades, he also LOVES stangs and plan on starting him to learn things early. ( never too early to learn about stangs) ...
