Default First Mod

I was wondering what your first mod was to your car performance wise and what kind of power difference it really made? Do you reccoment gears, CAI, exhaust? What is the most bang for your buck in these cars? Thanks for any and all feedback.

I went with a GT take off exhuast first. I have never dyno'd or taken it to a track so all I know is I could tell a difference. I have read where people said it's between 5 to 10hp. I think since you can get them for less than $100 that is a pretty good bang for the buck. My next performace mod is due in next week. I ordered a CAI and tuner from Tunable Inductions. John made me a great deal on one painted to match my car and was super nice to talk with, I would have gotten this week but his painter was out of town.

First and only performance mod I have is an axle-back exhaust. Not sure how much it added but butt dyno felt like 10hp. More pleasing to the ear than anything. If I do any more performance mods, we all know I will, I'll go with gears/t-lok and a tuner. Other than that nothing but save for an x-charger (2-3 years down the line). All those mods you posted are good. I would say best bang for the buck would probably be gears. But then you have to buy a tuner to fix the speedo, than if you buy a tuner you might want a CAI to go with it and so on....
