Default My Cobra Z starting to come to life!

Not knowing where the proper place to post this, I'm posting it here. This is a 72 240 Z with an 81 5.0 Stang going into it. The car will weigh less that 2400 pounds when I'm done with it. It's being built strictly old school. It should get on down the road pretty good. If this link doesn't work, I'll try something else.

Bobby, where did you get that cowl induction hood scoop? I just picked up an mini L88 style for mine, but it won't work. I love that cowl induction. No, no life ins. Just going to be insured Hagerty Ins for 20 grand. I'm spending my kids inheratance.

Just talked with the son and he claims he's going to wax my behind with his 97. He just had it built, putting out something like 380hp before he puts the turbo on his V6. I told him to bring it on. He lives 10 mins from a 1/8 mile strip and 45 mins from a 1/4 miler. He's going to send me some time slips. Guess the leaves don't fall far from the tree in this family.

That's cool. I like projects like that. I'm planning on someday picking up an old Fiero and doing the 350 swap. Talk about a quick ride...

Just out of curiosity, what did you have to do to get the engine in there? Did you make your own motor mounts? What springs are you using?

Cool idea there! Suggest you get rid of those stock exhaust manifolds and get some good headers on there before you go too much farther so you still have room to work them in. And I'm with you, you should wax your boy's behind without a lot of trouble being as light as you're going to be!

There is a guy around town here who has a Northstar V8 swapped into his Fiero. It goes like a raped ape....I had everything I could do to keep him half a car behind me.
