Dodge Charger is back with a HEMI with 340hp and 390tq, it comes out as a 2006 model. Priced at $26k(V6)-$30k(Hemi). Info from Car and Driver October 2004 issue.

All the new mopars look the same and I am getting tired of it. They really need to mix it up a little bit like the other companys do. The mustang and the GT don't look the same niether does the camaro and the vette. All I can say is it better be fast because I can buy and mopar and get the same look.

They ruined the Viper with the new body style too. Before, it looked mean and you knew it was fast just by looking at it. The new body style makes it look kinda sissy IMO. But anyone who knows about the Viper knows that it'll still hand your azz to you.
As a whole though the guys on the design team for Dodge are a bunch of idiots if that design is the best they can come up with. That sh*t be FUUUUUUGGGGLY!!

I like the way the new Viper looks its the new Corvette thats going to have to grow on me, but then again I haven't seen one in person yet might just change my opinion.

i like the 69 z28 but that rs is nice. if i had my choice of old muscle it would be a Shelby GT500KR. just over 300 ever made and all were badass. IMO

I think I'd go with a Yenko Camaro....or Yenko Nova. All aluminum 427....teh win!

Even I can appreciate the look of the concept Camaro...that looks real nice!;)

It better look better, those are ok but not nearly as nice as what the original Chargers looked like, I like the '66-67 fastbacks and the '68 best, they look cool, the '68 Charger looks very mean. I am really disappointed in what cars Chrysler has been selling for the last 25 years or so, the Dodge trucks have been cool, but the cars were nothing special, and I wouldn't buy any new Mopar except a Magnum R/T and 2001 Ram 3500 Cummins. I really like older Mopars though, especially B bodies. I think my favorite is the '71-72 Satellite. My dad once had a '73 Satellite Sebring 318, It broke after recieving many many years of abuse. It was too rusted to fix up, I was very upset when he had it towed. A '71-72 Satellite/Roadrunner is beautiful.

if cryceler puts out a car that ugly i will loose all respect for them...they could make the charger a HUGE hit but that would kill every chance of it being remotly good

Only got one thing to say. The movie Bullitt! What are you looking at more, the mustang or the charger....enough said.

I agree that the new viper doesn't look all that good, but IF (I think the concept was new front with old back) the new hardtops look like the attachment, then I think that is a step in the right dirrection.

My uncle has a 93 RT/10 and I would have to agree that the new ones don't quite capture the same look as the gen1&2 did, so I think the Comp Coupe would be the only way to redeem the SRT-10 look.

i dont understanf the lineage from the original charger to those concepts
i really cant see much of a connection especially with the corporate grill
looks like they took a 300C, which is nice dont get me worng, and tried to jazz it up as a 'sports' car

they think the ole striping kits make them look faster look at the 5 different color version of the truck..
the camaro will out sell the stang if made

im not sure what to think about the body of this car.........

all the new camaro needs is a small block 400 under the hood with afr's 205's and a 525 lift roller...can we say 500 hp?

charger is ugly and spy pics confirm it looks like that lime green mess. and even if the camaro comes back which i doubt it wont look anything like the concept pics!!!

dodge is dead. they dont have the styling to keep up in todays world. not many people care about a 340hp hemi in a ugly car.

i heard the new charger was just a sedan version of the magnum, which imo is a sweeet car, i dunno about the charger tho, if there gonna call it a charger they should make it look more like an older charger, kinda like ford did with the new mustang, if there gonna make a sedan of the magnum, why not call it a magnum sedan or make somethin else new, that makes more sence to me

EXACTLY the new charger is jus the dodge 300 jus like the plymouth and doge neons thats BS in my opinion the charger should be like the 300 or magnum but a 2 door now taht would be nice to see the body style and have the hemi like the 300 but a nicely cut 2 door that would be soo excellent that sedan garbage can go sumwhere i think they kind of ruined the charger name with this

i think the new charger should have been a 2-door, but oh well. i think the new charger looks pretty agressive. when the orignal charger came out on jan 1, 1966, it didnt sell to good, so dodge started making it faster and look better. i bet it will happen again to the 06. the r/t charger is gonna have a 5.7 liter hemi making 340hp, but they might make a srt8 charger with the 6.1 liter hemi making 425hp.

As much as i love ford's and especially the mustangs. I gotta say the baddest car ever made was the HEMI DART, It ran 10.90's off of the show room floor, man only if i had a half million $$$$ then i could go find one. As for the new charger i think going with a 4 door was a big mistake. But i do like the Magnum's.

That car is just so sad! And they really need to come up with a new design for the rear end. Everything doesn't need to be ripped off from the Stratus.

I'm speachless, first the GTO and now the Charger are the most boring looking pony cars to date. I mean, seeing these cars doesn't make me thing... wow, that's nice.... it's more like, "Who cares?" I'll take a stang, mod it, blow those cars away, and still look good doing it.
