what color should i paint my car? oppinion please

recentaly i have been thinking about what color i want to paint my car.... looking around i saw some really nice paint schemes.
one of them is grabber orange with black racing stripes here is a link to the color for those of you who are unfamiliar with it:

another paint scheme i was thinking about was silver with red racing stripes with red ghost flames.

another is red with white racing stripes.

and finallyred with black racing stripes.....

i cant decide! help a brotha' out

Is yours a 70 aswell? I saw a Mustang on the cover of my friend's magazine and it was a orange 67 with white stripes. Slick as snot I tell you

I like straight up ragoon red, candy apple red, or even burgundy.

agreed purple people eater needs to die. but to give you my opinion, any color would look presentable done correctly. however i strongly dislike racing stripes on coupes (just IMO). I originally thought of grabber blue for my 65 coupe, then i realized that prooooobably wouldnt look so hot, i dont think absurdly bright colors look to good on classics (before 69) i think im going with a gun metal grey.

Yeah, I agree about the LeMans stripes on coupes. LeMans stripes go on fastbacks. If you go with a bright color, it's hard to beat red, blue or yellow. If you want a more subtle color dark gray or even silver gray is a good choice. I also like the dark greens, but detest the lighter color greens.

Any straight color is good on coupes...stripes and flames and so on look tacky...but if you want to stand out throw on a light coating of a different colored pearl than your paint... people really take notice to it

I had a black one and a navy blue and they were a nightmare to keep clean. Gunmetal looks great but you have to drive with the lights on all the time to be seen (personal experience...car was totalled by someone who didnt see it). I have a slightly lighter blue on my Falcon...I like it. I dont think the grabber orange suits the 68 as it is a classic color associated with the 69/70 Bosses more than anything.

maybe you could get someone clever with photoshop to "try" different colors on a photo of your car, with your wheels. I also think it really depends on whether you want a classic look or more restomod.
