Default Hardtops for your Convertibles

Anyone seen the removable hardtops for the mustang convertible from Smooth Line? If so, what do you think about them?

I'm looking in to one of these right now. I requested a brochure and if you order by Oct. 30, they're like 1,799 or something which is basically half price.

BTW..I email these folks about having one for the new Stang and this was their reply:

Thanks for your inquiry regarding a removable Hardtop for the 2005-06 Mustang Convertible. We are in development currently on a totally unique design which will look similar to the coupe roofline with the side quarter windows. The prototype is being refined and it will be an awesome addition to the new Mustang design.

We are also working on some new interior upgrade options for those who want to enhance the custom look in the cockpit.

Prices are not yet available but we are targeting production for Fall 2006.

We will keep you posted and forward additional information and photos when available.

Thanks,
Gary

Don't take me wrong. I love my convertible and would not trade it for anything, but I am attracted to the flexibility a hard top offers. I do admit...some of the hard tops look like doo doo and don't compliment the car's line...I.e., the vettes on the web page.

Nothing wrong with the Vert top, but if you can have the best of both worlds..why not!
