Some of you might remember my thread about a guy on another forum with a 94 Trans Am with manual tranny and convertible. His mods were gears and full exhaust and he was saying he ran a 13.3. Well here is his latest post, and just so you know, I call total B.S:

I was at englishtown, which is a slower track than i usually race at. Car was at 3620 lbs with skinnies, full exhaust, 4.10 gears, and 255 bfg drag radials mounted on steelies.

1st run
55*
front tires at 50psi, rears at 20
launched at 3500 and bogged HARD
60'.....2.037
330....5.666
1/8....8.626
MPH...83.58
1000..11.170
1/4....13.307
MPH...105.53

2nd run
57*
Tires same, launched from 4200 and bogged hard again
60'.....1.899
330....5.433
1/8....8.372
MPH...32.65
1000..10.909
1/4....13.045
MPH...105.59

3rd run
no temp
Tires same, launched at 4500 and still bogged
60'.....1.855
330....5.385
1/8....8.308
MPH...83.32
1000..10.831
1/4....12.955
MPH...106.17 NEW BEST

4th run
no temp
Tires same, launched at 4800 and finally didnt bog
60'.....1.820 NEW BEST
330....5.335
1/8....8.265
MPH...83.10
1000..10.792
1/4....12.920 NEW BEST
MPH...106.03

I still think i could have left a little harder on that last run, and the weather was probably somewhere near 60* so the car's still got more in it, and the next time ill be at atco, hopefully improving to a 12.70 or better.

Sorry about the confusion. These are the slips the guy with the Trans Am posted on another forum. Its a 94 TA with manual tranny and convertible, he has gears and full exhaust with DR's and says he ran a 12.9.

I highly doubt an LT1 Trans Am vert with only thos emods will run that fast.
You post about him a lot, you need to just race him.

He has ported heads or headers or something you dont know about... I run 8.7 @ 83mph in the 1/8th... he is making some good power ...ET is possible with great traction and nice 60fts but I wouldnt expect to see more than 102mph with his mods. Strange.

Just so you know, this guy is on www.ecotecforum.com and he is too far away from me to race, otherwise I would. Not that I care if he is lying or if he is tellin the truth, I just figured I would get some answers from you guys on how he could run these times with the mods he has. Here is a full list, which he hasnt ever posted until now, so maybe he is tellin the truth:

Englishtown scale puts me at 3620 lbs raceweight...want my full and complete mod list for my 12.92 pass? here it is:

!a/c
Taylor 8mm spark plug wires (mod?)
NGK TR55 plugs (mod?)
Pacesetter longtube headers
Pacesetter offroad y-pipe
Borla catback with open plate
4.10 gears, stock posi, ta girdle
Spohn tubular lower control arms
B&M ripper shifter w/ lou's short stick

And i was on 3.5" weld prostars up front, with 255/50/16 BFG Comp ta drag radials on steelies out back

Also, i have popped the valve covers and there are stock LT1 valve springs, stock rockers, and stock pushrods so the motor is definately internally stock.

I will hopefully have video on tuesday after i go 12.80s or better at atco

Hmm.. with those mods I can see it. Looks legit.

He is a bit heavier than I was after A/C Delete... I ended up being 3500lbs even with fuel...

Headers REALLY opens up the LT1 ... 20+ rwhp isn't unheard of.

Seems close to legit to me. Trap seems slightly high though.
