I was under that the Procharger was a little cheaper than the Vortech. How long will it take them to install and tune it for me. I moght just wait till I come home in Oct to have it done.

I bought my ATI Pro Charger for my V6 for $2,200.00 brand new in the box from a guy in my club, but I still need a fuel pump. He totaled his Stang he was going to put it in, then bought an S/C Cobra with the insurance money. Woot!

Well, I'm not. I bought it about two months ago but still haven't put it in. My brother is going to do the wrk with me and we've been so busy. He's really good with race engines. He builds race boats. I also have ported super heads, ported upper and lower intakes, monster valves, rolling rockers, 214 cam, 42# injecters, MAF and T/B and some other stuff........but no time. I'm thinking about saying fugg it and taking it to GRC Mustang and have them do the work, but I really want to do it myself.

Did you see that pic of the 9.9 second V6 I posted the other day? Truth is, the guy has 70K in it, but still fun to say, hehe. Guys in our club with V6's are in the 12's and one twin turbo in the 11's. It takes alot to get a 3.8 Ford to go that fast. But most V6's in our group are like me right now, in the 15's, hehe.

ORIGINAL: mdvaldosta Not if you buy the tuner kit. T&J will sell you a tuner kit for $2300, then you need injectors, fuel pump, and mass air meter. Those new from T&J would cost you $650. Thats $2850 for everything you get in the Vortech regular kit except a chip (which you don't want anyways). The full Vortech kit costs around $3350 and buying it from MPH (modular powerhouse aka T&J) you would get alot better injectors pump and maf. I didn't buy anything from MPH other than their powerpipe and plugs, I bought everything else off eBay or from people on forums. The Procharger kit new is still more expensive than Vortech base kit because the Procharger comes with an intercooler. So in the end which do you prefer? I gots to get one with in the next month? LOL
