86 STANG
Hi,
this is Jerry and I am glad to become a member of this forum. I purchased a 1986 mustang about a week ago and heard that this was a great site for just about everything! Basically i have a 302 bored out. I am not sure of what they did, but it has a Paxton Super Charger, Motosport headers, and 355's in the rear end. It's pretty quick. I was wondering what it was pushing out for horsepower given the specs. It also has a TKO transmission with a short shifter. Also i was hoping to get an opinon on the rear end. Should i possibily change the rear end. It seems to run pretty good with the 355's. One of the first things i would like to do is change the stock hood and put on a hood scoop. Another issue i was thinking of tackling is a paint job. I have never painted a car before, and have no experience what so ever! ??? I know this is a large task to take on, and i am not sure i can do it, but i am willing to give it a shot. If anyone has any feedback as to the questions i have asked, i would appreciate any feedback you could give me with regard to the rear end, horsepower and taking on this paint job, thanks for listening, Jerry. P.S. Especially the paint job. If anyone has a good book that really starts at basic prep of the body, it would be a good place to start as far as the paint goes.
