I'm basically restoring my stang and going with the stock look, but I saw these on another car in person and loved them.

But since I got these modern seats and yet going with a mostly stock look, you think it was a bad idea?

They are probably better in a restomod project, but I just said the hell with it, lets just go a tad restomod.

BTW, I kept the originals and they are stored in my garage.

Thoughts?

If you're really worried about stock look, cover those seats in the classic seat materials. Let me know how they fit...

Oh, they are not made of that cloth in the picture, mine do match the same material and look, I was mostly refering to the overall shape of the setas themselves.

I say they look good, plus there safer (whiplash) Ive seen classic's with those types and it fits. But i would just opt for they classic style with the added headrest.

I like it. Once you've decided to modify your mustang then you should really be open to explore as many boundaries as you can. I get a little romantical and think of my mustang as my work of art. It's every feature is designed to fit my ultimate masterpiece.

I should warn you though. Some of those ground effects kits look a lot better in the magazine than on the car.

Be creative but keep the receipts.

I bought them from Mustang Plus, just type Elite Seats on the search bar, and it will link you to three available models, there's another model pretty nice too, it's called the Procar Seats, also available at Mustang Plus:

http://www.mustangsplus.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?

I took all your advices, can't go back now, I have them installed already and they do look awesome, plus, it gives you an extra inch of headroom and they go back further for all you big and tall fellows, a much more comfortable ride with them, will keep my originals nice and safe in my garage though.

The verdict on the sets?

A bit restomod but I think they look good in a stock, I mean, I'm getting chrome rims too, so I guess my stock stang will have a little bit of country, and a little bit of rock n' roll as well.

The reason I didn't get the Procars is because they are too bubbly, not as stream lined as the Elites.

The Elites's also come in straight vinyl or straight velour, I chose the combo models, vinyl/velour, oh, in black of course.

The car is in the shop right now, I'll stop by this weekend and take a couple of shots and post them sometime mid-week.

Not bad at all. If you had the money they would look even better to take them to an upholstrey shop and have the middles dont with the pleats or whatever there called so the design would match the back.

You guys slay me with your aftermarket seats. I drive Ol' yeller for hundreds of miles at a time with the stock seats and don't have any back problems. It's a waste of money and a time consuming job to modify them to fit a classic. If you want a modern car, then buy a modern car.
