the new 2009 mustang looks like **** i think the new mustang dont look horrible but i think that the 1999-2004 mustangs are the best looking ones in a while but i also love notch backs but the 2009 mustang looks like a sorry ass excuse for a mustang. it really does look like a 2005 that has down sydroms. if you get a chance look it up an tell me what u think.
I havent seen them too.... SPY pics ? i have seen those drawings and they looks well ... KINDA MUSCLE JAP CARS.... especially that whie one with red background it looks like it has a wide celica hood..
That concept is more for 2012, for 2009 Ford only plans on doing some minor exterior changes. The total redesign is for 2012, they're not going to redesign the car every 5 years! http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=53733&page=3

I believe that was a sketch that came out around the time the concepts for the 2005 stangs came out. As far as we all know, FoMoCo hasn't given us any pics for 09.
The November 2006 edition of Road & Track has a 2-page spread that includes photos of the 2009 Mustang as well as 3D concept artwork of the design slated for release in 2012. The 2009 looses some of the 2005-07 edition's retro appeal; the hood has a steeper pitch, they've added two nostril looking scoops into the hood, and slanted the front supports that bracket the front grill (and the front corners are sloped inward harder as well). All in all it's not too much different from what we have now, but not what I would call a head turner - unless there's some serious interior upgrades.
Now the 2012 on the other hand, now that looks like dog crap; and I don't mean that in a good way. If this is where Ford is heading, and thinks the market wants it to go, then I'll be looking elsewhere come 2012 when my twin daughters are old enough for their first cars. This thing is seriously a horrible concept. It looks like some weird mangling of the Mustang, the Dodge Charger, and a modern Cadillac. No originality, and only a token connection to the pony's history.
I also saw the 2009 mustang in Road and Track. I personally think it has changed for the worse. I owned a 2000 mustang and I love the way they look. my brother has an 06 gt and it looks great as well. I like the old and new mix. but 2009 needs more work. Its an 06, with an ugly face change. FORD really needs to consider makin significant and deadly looking changes to stay on top of dodge and chevy. The camaro looks super crazy aggressive. Challenger, looks like a new old school. IM always mustang over them but, their power and looks are huge threat to us...almost makes me want one. I think mustang needs to keep this old look but give it an aggresive touch, like the last body. My 2000 had mean lines on the front, and my car was a v6... i REALLY hope it changes, if not, DODGE with the challenger, especially CHEVY with the CAMARO, will really blow us out of the water. ANother thing we need to do, is give them more power. We were always short 50+ hp from camaro. 2002 Gt had 260 and a 2002 Z28 had 315, i believe.
