I'm getting a set of the Shelby Razor wheels by American Racing...The shop that did all my custom work is getting me the rims at $800 for the set....Some of the tires they were pricing me seemed pretty high, so I wanted to check and see what would be good tires for these rims...THis is my car that I drive to and from work every day, so I don't want and super high performance tires that I will have to replace every 8-10K miles...I want a good multi-purpose high milage tire, any suggestions?

well theres not really a high mileage tire for a 20" wheel and a 35 sidewall. You can go some nitto nt555 or bf goodrich kdw. 245/35/20. and 275/30/20

My wifes 05 has the Saleen 20"s on it, and uses the Dunlop SP Sport Max 275/35x20 tires, and the best price I found for them was 316.00 w/o shipping from the Tire Rack. We only run them during the summer and for special occasions running stock GT bullets the rest of the year. Life expectancy is only 15-20K if you do "spirited" driving according to feedback on Tire Rack's web site. I may replace them with something else when they wear out, but really there are few choices that don't fit in the "Ultra high performance summer" tire category for this wheel size, and they all seem to cost in the 250-450 a tire range.

I have been very pleased with my Toyo Proxes 4s. I looked into Goodyear, michelins, and BFGs, and decided on the Toyos. I have a couple friends that have had very good success with them as well so I decided to try them out and they have been great. I do have a good friend with BFG KDWs on his '01 Cobra and he really likes those as well. Either way, the wheels should look sweet!

I think Nitto 555's are your best bet. I have them w/ my 20'' Raceway GT rims, and no complaints here.

imho the size that was suggested above 245/35/20 & 275/30/20 are too small outside diameter (height is around 26.2 inches compared to 27.1 for stock tires) I feel a better size that is closer to stock height would be 255/35/20 fr (27" tall) and if you got 10"wide rear rims then go with the 285/30/20 as they are about 26.7" tall, other wise run the 255/35 al the way around. Other will have different opinions! 05SDI
