Already posted in 4.6, to no avail....

I have a Mach with a 01 Cobra front bumper... I bought it this way. I think the wiring wasn't done correctly. The thing is, the foglights will only come on with my parking lights. If my headlights are on (high or low) the fogs will not turn on. When I have the parking lights on, the fog light switch is still funtional (I can turn them on or off), but the fogs only get power when the car has the parking lights on. Any ideas? I really like the look of the head lights and fogs on at the same time, but it wont let me! Idealy, I would like to have the parking lights on any time the car is in 'run.' I did search on this, but with the mis wiring of the fog lights in the first place, nothing helped. Thanks in advance.

Did you or someone else modify the driving lights switch to work differently from normal? It is only supposed to come on with the headlights, not with the parking lights. There is a simple mod to modify them and maybe someone didn't get it perfect?

I didn't do the mod. I know it's working in opposite. With the fogs and not without the headlights, instead of stock function. I dont know what to look for. It seems as though two wires got mixed up during the install of the different bumper. Any ideas to fix this or to make the fogs come on regardless of head light switch position?

we need to start looking at the back of the fog light switch as it is easier and more likely wrong. When you do the modification to have them come on with the parking lights you have to switch a wire in the switch hrns, I think they did the wrong one.

Pull the screws out of the the top of the consol so you can then use the cup holder to pull it out. Once it is out you will be able to access the back of the switch to see what we have.

Sorry, could you clarify this for me. I've never broken down a SN-95 dash. I get nervous with snaping pieces that have a hidden clip or bolt somewhere. Thanks.

Sarge,

Check the how-to forum, there is a step-by-step there that will walk you through doing the foglight mod correctly; you should be able to reverse engineer yourself out of the problem.

Thanks for your service to this country, SEMPER FI!

I went through that DIY a while back... I'm really lost when it comes to wiring. One of these days I've just got to bust out a multimeter and go through the whole system. BTW, the term 'Sarge' is army slang. I'm a Sergeant. Thanks for the props though.
