dont get me wrong, i want to have an ass kicking machine, but im not going to be taking it to the track and dragging it. if i wanted to get hardcore like that, id sellthe six shooter, and get an older cobra and mod that, the do some real ball ripping. im just interested in the car being more fun to drive, and be aboe to hold its own off the line with most cars that race on the street.

and to all of you who are against street racing, i say deal with it. i do it smartly, and i dont just pull up to fast looking cars and rev my engine. i get together with friends and go cruisn around.

....If people listened to that kind of attitude we'd all have a f**kin British accent and would shout "Jolly Good" at cricket tournements.
The thing I don't get with this sort of mentality is that the power of one can be damned big. Even if it only affects one life in a positive way, it's worth it.
Too bad people like you will never learn, unless it's the hard way, that there is no smart way to street race. That's like having a polite war.

nobody said "street racing" is pushing the limits here. and you know that most any racing that goes on is against some hotshot ricer in some ricemobile doing a flyby...what im talking about as street racing is just putting em back in their place. if you say you have never done that you're lying...though i doubt it happens much in a domestic compact sedan.Jugador37867.8003935185

can we please have one thread where someone doesnt get preachy? please? you find a way to take the joy out of even talking about racing. do me a favor, if you pull up behind me, and im about to drag someone, yell at me, but on a chat board, dont preach to me.
Few things: We have low 9 second v6's running around on stock blocks [no aftermarket blocks here] If we had an aftermarket block we would have low 8 or high 7 second v6's. Turbo 3.8 GN's aren't the only ones who can do it. They just have aftermarket blocks.
So if its worth it to you is your opinion and only your opinion.
everytime i read one of these, a few thoughts cross my mind. 1-anything can be made "fast" with enough cash and 2-how fast is fast enough for you? for me, a 12 second car would be awesome. my old turbo four banger ran high 13's, and i know what that feels like..12s, even a 12.99, would be plenty, plenty fast for me, for a street car. people who say, eh, a v6 stang is too hard to get XXXhp out of, would never use that much anyway.
