the key thing to recognize here is: winter BEATER. it's not as bad as it looks in the picture, but it is horrible.
I bought the car because the guy sold me a sh*t load of parts with it. '88 GT ground effects (which i think will look ugly on a notch) & an '82 GT front spoiler. Not sure where the rear spoiler came from. oh & some wheels with it. Did I mention an '84 svo computer, vaf, & complete wiring harness? When i say complete I mean down to the turn signal's. & since i just happened to know where an '84 capri rs 2.3 turbo engine was. I figured what the heck. $200 was a STEAL x10 for everything I got. & the body is actually in good shape. I just got pictures of the bad things that I didn't like. I'll get some better ones.
The car has an almost flawless interior. fold down seats still in it. No cigarette burns either. It was an awesome deal.
Earlier though I found the turbo to be locked up. I took the elbow on the exhaust off & made my friend a bet before removing it that there were 2 hairline cracks on the wastegate port. (I won a soda) The last 4 used turbo's with integral wastegates all had 2 cracks on it... so I took a wrench to the exhaust turbine, turned it barely & it seemed like it broke loose. It spun perfect!! & Zero shaft play.
I still have to find another transmission & clutch assembly. I don't want to put the 3spd auto in it. I DO have a 4speed handy, but no clutch petal assembly, quadrant, or cable atm.
