Thanks for all the nice comments from everyone... Here is another pic. This time, it's me with the car at my first Pony Run. It was freezing cold out there, but the skies were blue all day!
Hey, Shifty, what kind of mods? I will have to save up because I just spent a bit too much on a kick-a** nav/stereo/sirius/ipod system... will put up pix as soon as I figure out how to put a cool screensaver on the nav screen.
Looks like it was a great day for a cruise! Good thing you have that nice jacket to help keep you warm with the top down in colder weather too.
Which stereo did you get? Isn't it amazing how much better the shaker speakers sound with a new head unit? I'm still tempted to replace all the speakers though.

I got the Pioneer Avic Z-1. It's very cool. Nav system, DVDs, iPod hookup, Sirius, and it even burns cd's to its hard drive. You can put in your own photos as screen savers. Now if I can figure out how to use it.
It does sound a lot better, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what settings to use for most all my music. I listen to everything from Beastie Boys to Alice in Chains to Norah Jones to Johnny Cash, and nothing sounds right with all my music. Oops, hijacking my own thread?
Same system here. I run a custom eq setting based off of 'powerful' with the low end reduced a few db's. Sounds good for just about everything. I do think I'll get an amp and upgraded speakers at some point later.

No disrespect intended, dotbomb...I have been VERY into music/audio for 30 years and built many car/home stereos. I have learned at least one thing when it comes to signal to the amplifiers, FLAT!

Jazzer
I don't disagree with that in principle. The only issue is I am running stock speakers and no amp. I compensate for that a bit and for the fact my source is usually compressed mp3s. I know it isn't pure audio bliss but it sure is convenient. I'm assuming ncponygirl is in the same boat at least with regards to speakers/amp (aka stock).

ORIGINAL: Shifty Powers pnygirl... you wondering what mods to do to yours? if u were im sorry for not posting it and posting my list lol.. sorry...
Shifty, you get points for style Truth is, there wasn't one thing in your list that I actually understood. Very big LOL!
I think I will settle for the new stereo for now, and start thinking about "what next." I have been impressed with all the thought that serious Mustangers put into making a cool car cooler. I'm with Dotbomb -- I am going to have to have some real speakers at some point!
Right now, my big problem is that somehow or another I managed to put a HUGE scratch on my leather seats!!!!!!!! It is really and truly awful. I don't know what happened, either. It would be nice to blame it on something. I'm thinking about using a black Sharpie on it. Any better ideas?
dont use a black sharpy... try and find a leather repair kit or somehting somewhere.. also do it now as my seats are lol just bad.. but buy a leather conditioner and keep ur seats in good condition...
what u mean by the style? car or me? hahaa... but a thank you .. how is the niece btw, and the family? not trying to be kreepy lol just asking LOL about the list.. yea thats my list, ude have to find diff ones to fit your car but same idea.. as far as modifications.. you have the looks already with your car and the styling... SO.. what does this mean? unless you plan on switching rims, all ur $$ can go into making ur car faster!!! WOOOOT
as some of these guys that have saleens stated before(since they would know more about saleens then me lol).. i know my cobra, thas about it lol.. and last generation GTs... o well....
But ide say depending on what it entails, go with the 475 HP Kit, a new rearend with some 3.73 ratio gears(preferably FRPP).. i dont know whats done to your brakes, suspension, and anything else.. so i wouldnt know what else to change lol.. just have to look around.. if someone could tell me what was done to these cars out of the factory.. i could tell you what to do to it.. lol..
anyone ?

I discovered a trick last week with my 85 GT w/leather seats. The driver side bolster is obviously a little worn and has a few wrinkles that show into the leather (so it appears as an off white wrinkle). Before a show last week I dabbed a cloth into some black shoe polish, then natural (off white) shoe polished and rubbed it in. Buff off the excess and the wrinkles (or in your case the scratch, depending on how deep) will be dark grey I applied two coats for a satisfactory result. However this will wear off so its not a permanent fix - but its definitly a quick short fix thats cheap and easy.
For a true fix I would take to a leather specialist or auto upholstry specialist to get their thoughts
When you get it fixed - NEVER, and I mean NEVER get in your car (or let anybody in it) with ANYTHING attached to their bodys except their clothes. Cell phones, pda's, leathermens, etc can be a real bitch on your leather
