Had a couple run in's with some cars tonight. I went and sat in some parking lots and organized a couple races (which I've never planned one before).
The WRX kid was talking crap about his BOV, down pipe & exhaust.
We went from a light, and he pulled a good half car on me from the launch, by 2nd gear I began reeling him in and in 3rd I just drove right by him. Had a good 2 lengths on him before I saw his front end drop. This was probably the fastest I've ever gone on the streets, but I felt like proving how ugly AWD is top-end.
Then I ran my buddies LT1 again, I walked all over him again, even from a roll. The nice cool weather really does wonders for my car, it's ridiculous the difference it makes.
Then I took on my buddies 86 Z28. We both knew the outcome would be ugly but he wanted to try it anyways, it had a crap load of torque as he shot out a good half car on me in 1st gear, I spun alittle but I'm not going to use that as an excuse, I know the wrath of TPI torque. Once we got into 2nd gear it was all over, 4+ cars on him running through 3rd.

I ran into a WRX the other nite and waxed the floor with it too. I ran with my buddies T/A to, but his car runs low 12's (hopefully, we'll see friday) I kept up better than i thought froma roll.
yup. they will jump you out of teh hole especialy the manuals with AWD when they tach that think and dump the clutch. but they just have NO top end. I killed one when I was stock, left it in fifth gear even and just slowly realed him in..
the 86 was a 350 TPI? the are an absolute TQ beast. but the intake and runner design makes them useless after about 4500 RPM. with headers, heads, intake and runners they can be pretty qiuck
I ahve no trouble beliving the 2 cars that he waxed. but the LT1 must have some problems if he beat it that bad. his 4.10's do help a good bit tho but still. Can your friend drive worth a damn?
It's my friends 95 LT1 6 speed. We've raced from a roll about a month ago and it was the closest race I've ever had. I let him jump me just a touch and I pulled up to his front bumper and that's how it ended, it was great.
It's all in my 4.10 gears & MAM. I'm more than positive I out drove everyone too.
The 86 was a L98 swap and I agree - those cars are absolute torque monsters.
