Is it bad if the hose that goes from the charcoal box thing to the intake isn't hooked up? Could this cause some of my idle problems? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

The charcoal is part of emmisions. Could cause the problems.

That's why my buddy's Firebird is going through ignition packs so quick, it's working sooooo hard to fire through all that crud dumped back in by the EGR (well...that and blown head gaskets).
