Wow it has a 9"!? Sweet deal.

ya so im glad thats good :). so wuts the difference from a 8", 8.8" , and a 9"?

and i was reading in the other thread bout stereo for a guys 67. mind telling me bout ur stereo setup? i pretty much know wut im doing (as ive already talked about lol) but its nice to hear about other setups

Mine is a kenwood mp3 deck and I just have a 6-speaker setup. 2- 6 1/4" kick panel speakers, 2- 6 1/4" speakers in the rear of the doors, and 2 6x9's in the rear package tray. All Pioneer goods. No crazy subs or anything like that...I just like clean mids and highs, and those 6x9's put out plenty of bass.

sounds good... im a bass fiend though :) (i listen to rap/hip-hop). so il be putting 2 amps and a 12 inch sub in the trunk. going with alpine for the head unit with ipod hook up.... diamond component speakers in the kick panels... then 2 more components in the area above the rear seat...putting some dynamat through the car.... class D alpine amp to power the 12 inch diamond sub... then an amp for the 4 speakers... think that covers it...

so im gonna make this the "Logan's 65 mustang project" thread so i can update u guys and etc. first of all can anyone answer this question?

another question... so with the standard locks i hate the hassle of having 3 different keys (ignition, doors, trunk). im making my locks power soon, and im gonna do trunk pop, so thatd eliminate those keys, but i still would want to have them on me in case my battery went out or something. so ive only heard of one way to make it so its just one key (one guy used something from a 93 stang, cant remember exactly wut). are there any ways u guys know of making it so i can use 1 key for my doors/truck/and ignition? thanks

and wuts the difference between a 8", 8.8", and 9" rear end?

and 65mojoe if u have pics of ur dash with ur headunit installed could u please post some?

thanks everyone for being so helpful and informative!

and also im trying to think of a name for my car... anyone got any suggestions? :) lol

Surely after toiling with a 3 year renovation on that beautiful 65 you would have some advice to offer others here on this forum. I couldn't help but notice that every post you have made is exclusive to this thread. Spread yourself out, there are members here who could use access to your knowledge.

Personally, I think the blue dash compliments the engine compartment and the door rails. I like it. I think if you painted it black it would be too much. Over all I like this car and what you've done with it. I don't think I'd spend that much money on a coupe. However, if I was doing this with my kid (or with my dad), then it would probably be worth it just to be able to have that time and experience.

Are they well padded or more of a racing seat?

Hey here are those pics of my head unit install

This is the only thing with aftermarket head units - the small detail indent in the dash is hard to hide with the cd player bezel. A little bit of the side shows, but it is hardly noticeable.
