my bad i thought i was one of the only ones that didnt know.......ok heres the 20 hit combo

-parking brake on
-gear in neutral
-ignition is in the off position
-all doors are closed

-turn the ignition to ON but do not start the engine
-wait for the seatbelt light to turn off (takes about 1 min)
-alright within 60 seconds
- buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times
-turn the headlights on then off
- buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times
- the seatbelt light will light up for about 3 seconds
-within 7 seconds of the light turning off buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt

you will know you have done it right when the light blinks 4 times second for 3 seconds

Was i the only one that didnt know this?

This can be found in your owners manual. And you can reverse it back when you sell the car.

I agree...it IS a 20 hit combo! Haha.

I never checked this in my own Manual but heard of this procedure over a year ago. What puzzles me is why Ford would put this in the Owner's Manual when by law you must wear a seat belt.

If no one else would have posted in reply as to this being true, I would never have believed your post... But, I guess that I have to although I never saw this in my owner's manual... Now, my only question is how you ever figured this out without reading it somewhere. You can't tell me that this is just something that you happened across...

I found it on my own! I get tourettes in my car sometimes and just start randomly pushing, turning, and pulling stuff.
Pretty much the same way I found out the Contra code on Nintendo...up, down, up, down, left, right, left right, "A", "B", "A", "B","start", "select"

I actually came across it in my manual by mistake. How many times did it take you guys to get it right? LOL. It was like a video game for real. I was looking for somthing else in my manual and happen to see it by mistake. It took me at least 5 tries to get it right. It Just so happens my 03 Eddie Bauer has similarsteps for its annoying seat belt reminder chime.

Wow. The neighbors are liable to call the police and think you've lost your mind if they see you perform that procedure...especially in the dark.

I dont know why you wouldnt want it on. Wear your damn seat belt. We all do stupid things in our cars (especially cobras). I really don't understand why people don't wear em. I'll get off my soapbox now.
