Finally got the air intake box to fit down tightly on the TB and using the meth/water system, hit 12.78 and 12.83 on the track. First run, ran a 13.77 with TONS of wheel spin; ?? had forgot to re-install the front drive shaft after dyno runs ( btw: 375rwhp/430torq ).

My 60ft. times dropped from 1.75 to 1.97 due to wheel spin, but still quite impressed and finally a 12-sec run! Planning on installing the shaft back and seeing what I'll do with less wheel spin. I believe it is capable of 12.6's but will see. All stock interior with no weight shaved off (4400lbs plus me at 165lbs). Not beating with my Viper or EXTREME but if I was running'em, they'd definitely know I was just behind'em!!

Nice run, sounds like alot of fun too. Was the meth/water system hard to set up? Does it spray full throtte only or is there a management program that you use with it?

Some guy showed me a video of the run; don't have a copy. Just imagine a green boxy rearend moving quickly down track and you get the picture......

The meth/water took about 2 hours to install; very easy and has a controller to start flow of MW and gradually increases to WOT ( I use 5psi to 15psi ). Still working on the dyno to tune it; way too lean at the WOT hitting just at 14 (ouch!). Has 30lb injectors now but tried 42lb this weekend and way too big (flooded the engine). Will try a larger meth injector to see if this helps but may have to invest in some 34-36lb injectors (custom made). Need to get ratios in the 12-12.5 range at WOT.

My '94 Jeep doesn't have a "tuneable" computer, so, we have a Crane ignition timing box for the Vortec, installed a RoeRacing map sensor override kit, and now the Methanol injection with controller. Trying to get all of these in sync ......... Are we having fun yet??!!

Hey David K - Congrats on that impressive number!! Installing some 36lb injectors tomorrow and back to the dyno to get it all together. Am looking for a similar number on my Jeep. Give some details on your ride......weight, full interior or stripped, 318 engine, etc.

I know of a GC in Florida running 11.7's but that one's been leaned down on weight.

The SUV craze is going on at the strip here in Richmond.....couple of Diesel trucks running from 12.7 to 13 flat. Just trying to keep up with those toys......

Its a 5.2L it had borla longtubes, full exhaust, ported heads, ported intake manifold, it had some different rockers in there and i had JET make me a custom tune since the car was OBD-I. and i had ET Streets on the stock 15" rim.

as far as interior it had the LAY-Z-BOY leather seats and all i did was remove the rears and the spare. it also had an atlas II transfer case and a 3.73 gear ratio.

When my dad bought the jeep in 95 he swapped in the dodge 2500 8.1L V10 to pull his boat when i got ahold of it i put the viper intake manifold on to make it look like the viper motor sans the viper heads, pistons, and cams. but after a year of driving it i was forced to put the 5.2 back in so i bought a vortec SQ Trim and ran it. then i took the blower off and started to use nitrous. now the jeep has blown both headgaskets and needs a gallon of water in the radiator each time its drivin.

now im planning to totally rebuild the motor and raise compression and a huge cam, rework the heads and just make a bad ass straight NA grand cherokee

So, was the 12.58 on the blower motor or on the nitrous? Assuming the blower motor.

Mine is all stock interior as when I bought it in 1994. Had the 318 turned into a stroker 390ci with 8:1 compression and running Vortec. Complete roller motor with all forged internals. Running 410 gears in it and Yokohoma tires on 17" rims. Just installed a meth/water system to cool the charge. By the way, were you running in 4wd when you hit your numbers? I know they run the 11.7 Jeep in 4wd and I'm a believer that mine will run better in 4wd than just rears alone. I've been running it all year in 4wd but just forgot the shaft this past Friday night and finally hit my 12's. If all goes well, should have it on the track a week from this Friday to see what it will do with all 4's pulling it down the track.

Thanks for the info....sounds like a badass Jeep and hope you get it on the road again.

yeah the blower car hit that number. nitrous car hit 13.2 @ 107. i always leave it in 4WD.

how much boost are you running. i was only running 8psi and it seems that you should be running faster. have you had the heads worked over yet?

David: Still getting little "issues" worked out on my Jeep. Yeah, the engine was completely done with race quality parts (all forged internal, high flow heads, etc). We are running the 2.3" pulley that is putting out 16psi....was getting air leaks from the throttle body cover and just now got all of that sealed down tight. The main problem has been the fuel issues since I cannot tune the computer, getting the right amount of fuel has been tough (too much on the low end; too little on the high end). Will hit the dyno on Friday to see if the new injectors will correct all our problems. We were putting 375hp to the rear wheels last week and looking to get 400. If I install the shaft back in for 4wd, I'm looking to break into the 12.5's next week.

Nope....don't like the potential EXPLOSIONS I've seen with nitrous. The meth/water system gives it just about the same kick but without the hazards.

Running 12.5's is all I'm looking for in a Jeep.....(funny, I was saying 12.99's just a few weeks ago...:)))
