I am fixing to buy a new '04 Svt cobra, or '03 Svt cobra and was wondering what is the fastest and easiest way to get better 1/4 miles (still being street legal). And without NOS. Thanks.

NOS is a brand not the actual product...just a fair warning, some of the guys here take it as an insult

For a SC'd car...I'd say a pulley upgrade <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">

SLICKS and MORE BOOST.

And to sit there and want to do it without nitrous is plain foolish. The best bang for the buck out there of any mod, for any motor.

Nitrous is NOT the only way to do things. If you are going to get a '03 Cobra, you can change out the blower pulley to a smaller one which will give you more boost. I think that a smaller pulley would be a lot cheaper than NO2 system and you can get some good gains from it.<edited><editID>wei462</editID><editDate>37858.0836226852</editDate></edited>

True, but 100+ horses for under $600? What other mod can give that (and changing for a smaller pully doesn't count, I consider his car an exception as it came blown).

It won't really void his warranty. The smaller supercharger would do the same thing.

Just need to remove things when you take it in for service and keep your lips shut<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

Hey jeep, are you in love with nitrous? Every time I see you post, you always mention nitrous. Dont get me wrong, nitrous is great HP for the buck, but how much will that engine be after it blows? I'd have to say that pulleys, cai, exhaust, shifter, and gears would be the best bang for the buck. If you have an engine that can handle the nitrous, then by all means go for it. But if it were my car, i'd stick to the simple bolt ons.
