a d1 is not to much if you are looking for major power i have a p series and am making about 700 hp but for more you need more

hes got stock internals. a d1 is to much. and 700hp from a p what? bs untill i see some dyno slips

hell the converter brake stalls 2500 and flashed 3800 to 4200.and what dose any of that got to do with lag ?do you even know what lag is??have you ever been in any thing with a turbo?go ride in a power stroke Ford truck from a dead stop floor it see how long it takes to even start making boost that is lag.or ride down the road at 55 mph then floor it again no real take off that again is lag now ride down the road in a S/C car at 50 floor it. it makes boost right now not in a few seconds like a turbo.a S/C makes boost when ever you floor it. it may not be big boost at lower RPM but it is making boost a turbo will have a time sometimes more or less that it will make no boost at all.even at higher RPM on and off the gas.LAG LAG LAG till it spools up. a super charger dose not have this due to being driven off the crank yes the boost may be less at a low RPM but it is still making something. this for you be hard to understand but with a boost gauge you will see it.Now for this I am tired of wasting my time with your PUNK-ASS and I will be moving on LATER.also if you need someone that can show you how to make a S/C work and not have lag.let me know I have inlaws that live just outside Roanoke in Floyd

your probably the biggest douche about blowers ive ever seen on this site. centrifugal blowers do not have instant boost. they have lag. and please, contact your inlaws in floyd, who can tell me what i did wrong with my old setup. humor me.

its not hard to make 700 when i am making 500 just off my motor, and if you knew anything you would know a p is good for over 800 on a 302 if it is put together right: oh yeah show a real pic of your car

That's not lag, thats boost threshold.

Introducing Aerodyne VATN turbo's, full boost @ 1000-1800rpm, around a .2 sec lag.

I've ridin in a 550whp '90 mustang that was cent. blown. It had about .4 sec lag on it. My car with a cent. blower had about a .5 sec lag. both of the cars had a boost guage.

if a turbo charger is better why not just got the extra distance to get something better? and if so does that mean you have to get a certain exhaust with it and what not?

this is to roundman, turbos are acctually driven off of expanding exhaust gases, which is why real racers inject nitrous into the exhaust manifold, more oxygen, longer burning time, higher pressures...... all makes sense now doesn't it???? and what everyone calls lag is not lag, lag is the time from when you turn your key till the FIRST exhaust spins your turbine, apprx .3 seconds, what you refer to as lag is acctually full boost delay

You are very right. Most people think lag is the time it takes to see boost when they first take off. Like from 500rpm to when they first see boost. There is no such thing as lag from 0rpm - boost threshold rpm. Lag is actully the time it takes to reach full boost for that rpm from the time the throttle changes. Go down the highway in a turbo car @ around 3000rpm, push the gas, the time it takes for the car to reach the full boost for 3k rpm is lag. Lag decreases as rpm increase. Ex. It may have a .7 sec lag time around 2500 rpm & a .2 sec lag time around 6000rpm.

Here are 3 terms that may help you out in seeing what is what.

Lag: The delay between a change in throttle and the production of noticeable boost when engine rpm is in the range in which boost can be achieved.
Boost Threshold: Also known as Boost Point. This is the lowest engine rpm at which boost from the turbocharger will increase power over the engine's atmospheric equivalent. More simply, the lowest rpm at which noticeable boost (usually 1-2psi) can be achieved.
Throttle Response: A change in the speed or torque of an engine brought about by a change in throttle position. Throttle response should not be confused with turbo response.

So, just go with a Kenne Bell Twin Screw blower and Don't bother with worrying about
Boost Threshhold, Lag, or any other Bad Words.
