OK..so I went to go pick my parents up at the airport, and when I came back to my car I had scratches all down the side of it from where someone hit it with one of those luggage carts, at least thats what we think they hit it with. Anyways, it left one of those rub marks, not necessarily a scratch, just a rub. Anyone got any suggestions as to what will take it off. Im pretty ticked off, because I just had my car detailed less than a month ago. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks.

I thnk the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser runs the risk of scratching. I wouldn't go that far. If it's simply a surface scuff, you could try a clay bar kit or the Scratch-X. you will not to re-wax that area. Or, you could call your detailer and he might touch it up for you for nothing.

If it's a grey/black scuff mark a little elbow grease will remove it. Take your finger nail and lightly scrape the same small area, if you are able to remove any of the marking then continue this process. Do not be in a rush persistence will pay off. You can also use Simple green, Orange Blast and a corner of a old rag. Make sure the rag is wet then spray the spot and the rag. Again slow and steady should be the method when attacking those scuff marks.

Sorry to hear about your encounter with stupid people, but I have used Scratch X with decent results on blue and grey cars. have not tried on black...but its a matter of time the way people park around here...

Try a orbital buffer and Meguiars ScratchX. Youd be surprised how much it helps. Should wash and wax it afterward just to smooth it all out. Good luck and sorry theres jerks who dont know how to aprreciate a nice car.
