My hood has the same damage must be the way they packed it.

I can't wait to see the hood in another color besides black or blue... or grey primer.

Yea, Shelby was having fitting issues, but it should be fixed any day now, then it will start to ship.

Just some info (heads up) and suggestions below regarding the CS6 hood.

The picture below is of the GT-H CS6 hood showing damage around the hood pins. The picture was taken by someone who happen to spot the car but no explanation on how it happened. One forum member guessed that it could have been from popping the hood with the pins still connected. It could be or could it have been from expressway driving air getting under the hood and raising up against the pins? I don’t know but I am not going to take a chance.

I am thinking first I am going to test drive the car at high speeds and see if the hood moves around according to some people some after market hoods need hood pins. If that is the case I will install the hood pins farther out to the left and right side of the hood off the raised section as shown below in green like most hood pins. If it doesn’t need hood pins per test drive might even go with those stick on appearance hood pins. I am not going to spend all this money and take a chance of damage as seen below.

I have some ideals on a little custom work on this hood will let you know if I decide to do it but first will talk over with my shop guy.

Wheels

I just can’t decide on wheels (I really like these stock bullits also) but found these wheels I really like the ones on the Yellow GT out by me and the other one on the black GT pictured below.

Does anyone know what the name of and who makes the wheels on the black GT?

Any opinions on these wheels below?

I'm not sure the wheels on the black Mustang are Shelby Razors. They look a lot like the Razor wheel, but the center just doesn't look quite right and the spokes look a bit less angular. Edit #2: In fact, after looking at the wheels a bit more, notice the lug nuts are in line with the spokes on the unknown wheel, where on the Razor wheel the lugs are located between the spokes.

Edit: I talked to Shelby a while back about the hood pin issue on that particular GT-H when this picture first cropped up. They reported they had not had the problem on any other vehicle and suspected that the hood had been popped with the pins still in. I've had hood pins on other vehicles and find it hard to imagine that just popping the hood release would do this, remember, there is a secondary hood release that must be manually operated in order to completely open the hood. It looks to me like someone released the hood, then released the secondary release and pulled up on the hood. Of course this is speculation on my part, but based on my experience with my other vehicle. Shelby suggested disconnecting the inside hood release but I'm not sure how you could otherwise open the hood. I was in the SLC airport on several occasions this week and had the opportunity to observe several GT-H vehicles and did not notice any with a similar hood pin issue.

I installed the cs6 hood today it will cost $600 to prep and paint and 4 hours of labor to make the heat extractor functional.

Edit: I would also like to add that I took the car with the hood installed with no hood pins on the express way. The fastest I went was 75 and still no shaking or rattling of the hood. Shelby did a good job with its construction, it is very sturdy.

Got the CS6 rear end from Hillbank. I believe this is the yoke we need for the V6 dirveshaft, but I will need to verify that.
